Down 50! So happy!

Thursday, April 19, 2018

It's been a while since I wrote a blog. The scale has been up & down like a roller coaster. The good news is that I'm still hanging in their! emoticon Where to begin. In December I had my AWA moment! Too bad it had to come to that point to make me realize how my weight is affecting my health in a negative way! emoticon My blood work came back & my fasting blood sugar was 111. The doctor told me to lose weight or you will become diabetic! He also put me on diabetic medication. I took the pill for 6 weeks but had to go off for now because sugar was dropping to low. Going back to the doctor next month to see what happens. Anyway since December 6th I have lost a total of 51 lbs.! emoticon emoticonI have been eating healthy & using the villes to lose the weight. I love the villes for losing weight. Even though these teams aren't very active they are like a weight loss journal for me. Plus the fact that when you have a large amount of weight to lose, losing it in 10 lb. increments is so doable. I get so excited when I have 1 lb. to go to move on down the road to the next ville. It gives me the incentive I need to keep going. Since December I had a couple of slip ups along the way(off track) but I hung in there. I love emoticon inspirational quotes! They motivate me to keep going. This is one of my favorites:

When I enter "One"derland my next goal is to get into a regular routine when it comes to exercise. The truth is I hate to exercise so I usually don't. That is going to change very soon. I am going to start with small steps. 10 minutes on the tread mill. As far as my end goal I am very undecided about that at this time. The fact still remains that I have at least 26 lbs. to lose to meet my goal of 100 lb. loss. I have to lose 46 more lbs. so I would not be considered overweight. My doctor once told me that he thought in the 170's should be a good weight. I feel the next 20 lbs. will make a big difference in the way I look & feel. emoticon I am going to try blogging on a more regular basis.

Congrats on accomplishing this goal...that is so great! I know how difficult it is, and also want to celebrate every pound lost. It takes effort, determination, and most of all...consistency. You are doing great, and your efforts are paying off. So happy for you! I'll be interested to see how your labs change when you see the doctor. That's my main motivation, because I do have diabetes and my fasting sugars and A1c keep creeping upward (and I'm on medication), so I'm trying to lose weight because I think that will bring them down. Wishing you luck, and thank you for posting. Love to read these encouraging stories!

Good job!!!! Taking control and not letting me he medical world rule your health.. I'm a retired nurse and medical treatment for things we can be responsible for is a slippery slope.
