What a Wonderful World!

I felt so “wonderful” this morning when I listened to this lovely music and watched the beautiful images. See link below.

I read somewhere about a study that found the chemical dopamine is released when listening to music. This is the same “feel good” chemical released when we satisfy our desire to eat or other pleasureable activities and when we experience pleasure and reward.

This information gave me so much insight into how to handle my cravings for chocolates and sweets and how I think they will reward me and make me feel good while eating them. But, I know that’s not true for me. So, I decided that now when I want a chocolate chip cookie or candy or some other “craving”, I’m going to replace the food craving with listening to beautiful music. I’m going to give it a test to see if it works and makes me not only feel better but take away the unhealthy craving.

I’ve always loved music and feel really good and have lifted spirits while listening and afterwards, too. I’m thinking music might really help me with my food craving problem. Time will tell.
