Progress, not perfection

I whined about being stuck on a weight plateau. I think I've moved beyond that. I've finally reached some new numbers on the scale - in a good way. And not just a one day blip, but multiple weigh-ins.
The weight gain occurred over many, long years. So another day or week or month in the losing process should not be cause for alarm or despair.
I'm gradually learning that eating a variety helps me make progress. Eating a narrow range of food, even though it's very healthy and even low-calorie does not make the best results for me.
The fact is that I truly do not mind a very narrow range of food, so I tend to get myself into a habit (rut) about eating just a few things. But I find that my body responds better when I mix it up more. So, that's my new plan. Introduce more variety into my meals. I'll report back how this works out.
