Yep... I’m back

So had a friend talk me into doing Keto with her. She’s lost 33 lbs and loving the program. I did the research and jumped in a couple weeks ago. Seemed crazy to eat high fat, mouth watering things like butter.... bbq burgers... dark meat... Ranch dressing.... cheese, full fat cottage cheese.... bacon. Yup. Bacon. I followed it faithfully and was actually feeling really good and energetic. Not overthinking when my next snack or meal would be because I felt full a lot longer. Too good to be true? Yup. Had an attack of the gallbladder tonight that literally had me hurling my dinner in the commode and gasping for air. The pain in my stomach was unreal. If I wasn’t doubled over, I was puking. Lovely. Just lovely. Keto May work for some... and I’m so happy for them and really jealous. I will be working on lower fats and high doses of fruits and veggies. I’m back....

    Never got into any of those "trendy" "fad diets" - and I have no doubt that they have potential for harm for some...….sorry you had a rough day, but glad you listened to your body! Just be patient - I'm sure you'll find the best dietary routine for you!

    Just wanted to say congrats on being in the Spark Spotlight and hope you find your answers. Keto is not for everyone but it helped me see the light and embrace changes in my food selections. Just stay the course of being healthy and welcome back.

    I would have the same problem. I can eat some fat - avocados, some cheese, etc. But bacon grease and fried stuff all the time would make me sick also. I hope that you are feeling better!
