It's been a long 18 months---
March 2017- cracked pelvis
August 2017- direct hit by Hurricane Harvey
November 2017- lung cancer for me....massive heart attack for my husband

The last year, there's been surgery for me, pneumonia for both of us, chemo and radiation. I am currently fighting another pneumonia. We have had a tough time when at times neither of us could move or breathe well. Taking garbage out....getting mail was a challenge. With cancer treatment done, I need to commit to better health. Time to join in Spark Guy's 10 minute a day exercise. I want to walk the dog....return to line dancing.

10 minute a day exercise starts today!

November 11- walk dog 5 minutes, walk dog 3 minutes, 10 minutes cleaning (18) emoticon
November 12- walk dog 5 minutes, walking 15 minutes (20) emoticon
November 13- walk dog 5 minutes (5)
November 14- emoticon
November 15- walk 7 minutes, cleaning 10 minutes (17) emoticon
November 16- walk 10 minutes, walk 15 minutes, walk 5 minutes , walk 10 minutes (40) emoticon
November 17- heavy cleaning 30 minutes, walk 10 minutes , walk 5 (45) emoticon

The first week was a nice start. emoticon

November 18 emoticon
November 19 walk 5 minutes, cleaning 30 minutes (35) emoticon
November 20- walk 35 minutes (35) emoticon
November 21 - walk 5 minutes (5)
November 22 - cleaning 30, walk 15 minutes (45) emoticon
November 23- walk 10 minutes, cleaning 20 minutes (30) emoticon
November 24 - cleaning 45 minutes (45)

I hope to edit and update this blog for two weeks to get the habit started. emoticon

I'm doing well. I'm going to add another week.

November 25- walk 10 minutes, walk 15 minutes, clean 10 minutes (35) emoticon
November 26- line dance 30 minutes, walk 20 minutes (50) emoticon
November 27- walk 10 minutes (10) emoticon
November 28 - walk 10 minutes (10) emoticon
November 29 - cleaning 45 minutes (45) emoticon
November 30- line dance 45 minutes, walk 30 minutes (75) emoticon
December 1- walk 30 minutes (30)

I think I have a good 10 minutes a day exercise habit started! emoticon

    Oh my gosh, you and your husband have been THROUGH IT! I am praying that the worst is over, and now you can both journey toward optimal health. So sorry to hear this, I can't imagine having to deal with so much.

    Just thought of you before seeing your Blog. I am sorry that I have not been as attentive as I should have been. Traveling, medical problems, and more paperwork at home has kept me away from friends, and you are such a faithful one. It looks like you and Charlie are 'slowly' on the mend. Happy to hear that your are considering exercising again. Something that has been neglected in my world also, although I am trying to get at least a walk in, once a day. But, it is strength training that I should concentrate on, prior to my knee surgery, which has been postponed twice (a long story). Presently, it is scheduled for Jan. 10. It can not come soon enough, as walking has become very laborious and painful.
    I am wondering how your daughter and grandsons are doing. Mine are at opposite Coasts, so I cannot complain, considering how far away your loved ones are. (((Hugs)))
