For the last few weeks, I have been struggling in my journey. Up til now, I have maintained my "head set" that I am not in a race to lose weight and mostly want to just improve my health and well being. So, I have not lost a great deal in pounds. However, I have managed to lose enough to go down one full size in 6 months by eating much better and implementing exercise into my lifestyle.

Here's the thing... recently, I have been feeling that after all the "sacrifices" (limiting sweets and spending more time at the gym) shouldn't the scale number be much lower? So, I find myself feeling a little let down. As a result, lately I stopped tracking my food as closely and skipped more days at the gym and you know what happened??? The scale has already creeped up 3 pounds. Duh!! The pounds sure do come back much easier than coming off!!!

So, I will go back to my original plan, get those 3 pounds off, and remember that its better than the alternative.

There's an old saying about walking in sand, "two steps forward, one step back." Reverse it: "One step back, two steps forward." That focuses more on the positive. It may be slower going, but it's still progress.

Tracking your food helps you realize the intake. Don't worry, it'll happen for you.

Do not let go of your desire to be healthy. I stopped tracking, had an injury and stopped exercises. Now I’m 50 lbs over my desired weight. Ouch! Three pounds is easier to lose than 50. 😱 I’m rooting for you Marcie18. Please root for me. πŸ‘πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»

Try a measuring tape. I too am a slower loser. But in 3 years its slowly crept up to 130lbs lost.. So itty bitty scale drops do work. That said I didn't find spark till new years and I've lost an additional 15 so oickbur self up and take it off.
