Stop Talking and Start Doing!

First of all, I would like to thank God for allowing me to stumble across Sparkpeople on January 21, 2006. At that time, I decided that it was time to make a drastic lifestyle change and do something about my weight. Each day I ate 3 healthy meals, 3 healthy snacks, and drank 64 ounces of water. Over the course of about a year and a half, I lost a total of 90 pounds. I felt so much better, had more energy, and enjoyed participating in activities with my family even more. I know it's all because God gave me the strength, motivation, and willpower to do so. I know I would not have been able to do so otherwise. My favorite bible verse is Philippians 4:13 ~ " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

Since that time, I have gotten off the bandwagon (so many times) and have let most of the weight creep back in. To be exact, I have gained 72 pounds of the weight back. Yikes!

I read a quote recently that said “If You Are Tired of Starting Over, Stop Giving Up!” Yes, I am so tired of starting over, so it’s time to do something about it.

Now I am ready to get serious again and do something about this extra weight I am carrying around! It’s time to “Stop Talking and Start Doing!"

My ultimate goal is to lose 140 pounds. I have 122 more pounds to go. Since I did this once, I know I can definitely do it again! Just getting myself motivated to exercise more and drink at least my required 64 ounces of water, would help tremendously.

I welcome any fellow "Sparkers" who would like to share any ideas during our journey to a better life, to do so. I will be glad to as well.

My prayer is that we all have the success we desire.
