Unashamed about my neediness

Saturday, August 17, 2019

Even when I ran my own successful business up in Seattle, worked for a State's Dept of Health, worked for resolving payable accounts West of the Mississippi for the Federal Government, taught Sunday School for adults and preached even for the Evening services to the English-speaking disciples who gathered together, I have always had my lack, my inability, my falling short of the mark on my heart and in my face. It is the same about my physical health as well.

This does not make me less human, indeed according to my God it is the definition of being human. We are created to need God, to need others, to need the rest of Creation in order to function, to move, to have our being.

If all you need is yourself, you don't need to be with God and the rest of us weak human beings in Eternity. You are either self-sufficient or not. I am not.

So even as I'm thankful to exercise and eat healthy, I'm glad that He is my Rock of Refuge in which I may dwell. God has provided a stronghold to which we must resort, for God has appointed One to save us from before the foundation of the Earth. And God knows those who are His, for he has no illegitimate offspring. We are as living beings in need of either being born of God or being on our own.

I plead with everyone to be reconcilled to God, even in regards to taking care of our bodies and minds.

Spark on! Keep on striving towards better health for you and others. Please enjoy the process.

Thanks be to God.

You're so right about needing God the most as well as needing others. I've taught adults Sunday school also. I love being a child of God and I can't praise and thank him enough for the miracles, blessings and all God does for me daily.

Yes we cannot survive on our own. We are sinful and not perfect. The Lord Jesus died to pay for our sins. He is the way, the truth and the light for us. As my health goes weaker I see my slower pace and know my Lord is with me. On July first a man stopped his car in front of me with no signal. It was a 55 mile per hour hughway. My car was totaled. I had bruises and am still sore but there must be something more I need to do in this life. The police gave me a warning. My Lord gave me my life.
