Need To Get Back In The Habit

Saturday, December 07, 2019

This was one of my weak points on my last SparkPeople Profile, tracking my food.

Often I would get embarrassed over going above my calorie intake that I would just skip it. So in this profile I plan to be more honest about it. We all mess up sometimes, but by facing our fears of what other people might think of us, we learn that is okay to fall short. It is about getting back up again that is important. It also helps hold each other accountable and to inspire one another. I sure know that I can use a helping hand on a bad day.

I kind of come and go with the tracking - I purposely do NOT write it down one day of each weekend - that seems to serve two purposes - I don't get rebellious in attitude about "tracking every bite" - - and I also feel like it tests my true learning of things I have tried to track all week -

Food tracking is my problem as well. I did it for a very long time, then I stopped. I HAVE to get back to it.

Nobody sees your food tracker but you. It is a help to see where you can maybe make changes to get in the range that is given. But that is just a guide and it can depend on a lot of factors. Some days I go over and usually it doesn't make a big difference in my weight in the long run.

It is important to be honest with yourself..We don't need to worry about what other people are doing or what they think..everyone struggles, and everyone has good and bad days..just do your best and don't quit..we will get there

Checking your calorie intake is key. It wil let you know where you went wrong. Tracking keeps you honest with yourself. No one else has to see it.
