Exercising. What's better for YOU, personally?

I always hear people talking about going to the Gym to exercise, and many of those same folks always seem to complain about not having enough time in their day for many other things. I get it, I really do.

But I discovered (and this works well for me), is that I can get the same exercise and benefits, right from my own home. Whether I go for a run, with or without my dog, take my dog out for a pretty good walk, or just do some body weight or aerobic exercises AT HOME, I can get the same benefits that a Gym could provide me.

The added benefits are that I have no travel time to/from the Gym, no monthly Gym fees, and I can exercise comfortably right in the comfort of my own home, with only my dog seeing what I am doing. Another exercise that I do, is to put on some good music, I like CCR, and just dance around the house with Zephyr. I also have a stationary bike, a Total Gym (rarely used, due to space), and a set of resistance bands, so I'm pretty much set.

Gyms, to me, always seem like a competition, or a place for those 'Ego Maniacs' to show off; I'm sure you have encountered one or two.

Let's get exercising the right way, and forget about impressing others, or feeling "inferior" to those Gym Rats, who always seem to dominate the equipment. You can do this!. GET IT!

    I like working out in my home gym. We live too far away from a gym to consider going on a regular basis. I have a treadmill, stationary bike, chin up bar (still a work in progress) and Yoga mat. Plenty to work up a sweat and then I have my dogs who are always ready for a great hike or walk! emoticon emoticon

    People who do not want to exercise have an excuse that they have no time or no money for a gym. Walking is free! A YouTube video is free and you don’t have to leave the house.

    I like my gym workout time, PF makes me and my 260 pounds feel very welcome. No unpleasant stares. However I have had membership with other gyms that I hated. Also have treadmill and bike at home to use. As long as we enjoy ourselves !!

    I stick to home for my exercise. I have a treadmill and I find challenging things to do around the house. I used to go to the gym when I was younger but being a senior citizen now, slows things down a bit😏. Have a blessed week 😊 πŸ‘πŸ™

    I love to work out from home. I added equipment when I felt assured that I would actually use it. For me I get up at 4:30am have my coffee and walk downstairs, listen to the news and do various exercises on different days for a 2 hour session. I found this for me got it out of the way plus no excuses: no time, bad weather, maybe at lunch time, maybe after work or maybe after dinner..... emoticon

    I haven't been to the gym for a workout in a while. Lately I have been so addicted to workout equipment.

    I go to a physical therapy place that allows one to continue using their equipment, & if I didn't I'd have to join a gym to access certain special machines. I do agree tho that you can get plenty of variety at home or without a fitness center.
