Years ago, I started on the journey that is the National Boards Professional Teachers Certification. I started way back when everything was still paper and pencil, and my dad was still healthy.

I didn't pass.

I tried it again.

My dad got leukemia. I chose to spend the last few months with my dad and let that National Boards stuff go.

My dad died.

I went back to grad school.

I started thinking about the National Boards but wasn't sure if I could put myself under pressure.

But, I did it again in small stages. For the past three years, I have spent most of my free time working on my National Boards.

Scores came out Friday night/Saturday morning at midnight. I stayed up to see, and then I couldn't sleep after I got my results.

I finally did it! I am so happy and relieved!

Now, what do I do with my free time?

I believe that I will come up with something! emoticon
