We had a lovely Christmas. We opened our presents and then skyped DD and SIL and the littlies. Miss A is going on four this year and Mr E will be two in March.
Wrapping paper filled the air with parcels being taken from the box and passed out.
Mr E was very taken with his Thomas the Tank Engine from Uncle T and carried it every where.
The cardigan I knitted became Thomas's and was put on it and carried around.
When the truck blanket was unwrapped he took Thomas and laid down and put the blanket over them and snuggled . Soooo cute.
Miss A loved her Mermaid Tail and all her presents. There was love and laughter...
We had a store bought chicken and sides for lunch, pulling our Christmas Crackers and talking about the day :) . Pavlova and custard and Christmas Pud for those who chose it.
Later on we had a visitor at the door, a lady on her way to her children's farm had become lost and had been going around and around for hours. We took her in and gave her a drink and looked up on line the address of her family. She was lovely and we chatted away :).
I said to Hubby" we could drive in front of her and show her the way", as she was quite upset and concerned her family would be worried. So we did. It turned out she was a long way off course. As we pulled up at the farm a motor bike came in the other direction and the driver gave us a thumbs up sign.
I got out and gave the lady a hug and said, "You are here now enjoy the rest of the day ". It was so wonderful to be able to help her on Christmas Day :) a real joy for us!!!
My presents included "The French Cat " by Rachael Hale a photographic look at cats in France, a beautiful book from DD. Lots of wool :), cows on a tea towel :), a lovely bowl made of wood from a good friend ... :).
Of course Beauty got an extra helping of cool veges and Phoenix the cat enjoyed all the goings on too :)
Hope you all had a lovely day and that New Year's Day is a happy day too :)
Thanks for stopping by
