I Feel Good Today!

I feel good today!

I am still adjusting to the insulin shots and have had to make some changes in doses but so far it seems to be working. Never wanted to get on insulin but I do have to say that it is helping me with several diabetic issue that I was having to deal with. My skin isn't all flaky and dry like it was, I am not getting up every 2 hours to potty, I haven't had that all consuming hunger that followed me through each and every day/ ALL DAY, I'm not as thirsty all the time, I am much more alert, happier, less grumpy, and more energetic. I still get that nap time scenario around 2pm but I think that may just be habit for me and for Ronan, my furr-grandpuppy.....

Oh, Happy Day! Oh, Happy Day! Such good news that you are having success with insulin! It's possible that you were just "ready" for it, in other words, you had come to the point of recognizing that it would probably be beneficial for you, and so your attitude changed quite a bit. When someone has that positive attitude of looking for all the good points in a change, it can make that change so much easier and more effective. Enjoy it! I wish I had those good side-effects of better skin, not retreating to a bathroom so often, not having that all-consuming desire to eat all the time, and much more alert, happier, less grumpy, and more energetic. Whew! What a great report and I'm so happy for you! I hope your husband is doing well on his new regiment, too. Hugs,
    Susan

What an uplifting blog to read today. I am glad you are doing better on insulin. Being diabetic myself, how was it determined that you start using insulin shots? I still take Metformin but in a very small amount, as my sugars have been on the normal side for quite a while now.

I was always afraid to take insulin shots and with that fear it made me really watch the amount of carbs I consume, and what type of carbs I'm eating.

I hope you continue to have great results for your blood sugars with the insulin. Keep me posted ok?
