2020: Twelve weeks gone: Focusing on Week 13
Monday, March 30, 2020
I'm amazed that 2020 is almost 1/4 gone. It has been chaotic and fast moving. I have recovered from my kidney surgery and post-op infection. It took longer, because I've been home and avoiding hospitals and other sick people. These are extraordinary times.
I've wavered a bit with my goals and am going to refocus my efforts this week.
1. Say good-bye to one item a day, and if something comes in, something goes out = 366 fewer items.
I've let go of 199 items net so far this year, although I'm going to have to do better, because I also ordered a bunch of books online to entertain myself during lockdown.

I donated another five boxes to a local charity and have five more ready when they resume pick-ups.
2. Read one pleasure book a week that meets the requirements to donate to the prison program = 52 books a year.
I've stayed on track here, too. I have two bags of books ready to donate to the prison project when they open up again.
Total for 2020: 13
3. Happiness Planner project.
I fell off the wagon here. I restarted and am sticking with it this time, even if it's just to track that I am off-track. Accountability!
I think it's time to energize the effort by adding another goal.
4. I will try one new recipe each week.
This week, I'm going to try America Test Kitchen's chicken with warm bread salad.
Stay safe!
