Beth Donovan Hit's Another One Out Of The Ball Park For Me!

Just when I'm ready to throw the towel in, my friend Beth wrote another great blog titled "Feet On Scales". I want to share my journey like she does.. being totally open; so, I'm going to start with my stats from the 5% Challenge..

My Starting Weight on 4/4/20 (241.6 lbs)

Week 1 4/11/20 (237.0 lbs)

Week 2 4/18/20 (238.4 lbs)

Week 3 4/25/20 (249.8 lbs) Saturday

By Sunday I hit (250 lbs) and I was broken and depressed.. Saturday was a day of shame and embarrassment having to post my weight for the week. Was even asked if I accidentally posted the wrong number.. Boy, how I WISH!

Well, Beth is doing something new that I want to try and that is she's going to post images of her scale weekly; however, I might try doing it daily.. and that is so I can journal daily.. I haven't worked out all the kinks yet.. but, it will look something like this....

Saturday was a big shock to me! However, the doctor told me my thyroid is all messed up from switching medications. My Pharmacist had switched my thyroid medication on me.. I'm pretty sure that has got to be the main problem..

Some of this damage is from over indulgence .. I was eating bread again and hot dogs, high sodium!

Today I decided to go high protein, low carb and not throw the towel in!

I need my support team [Shooting Stars]; plus, I am blessed to have two of the best friends! Hope and Beth, both Rock!

    Wow. Now really you should be proud of yourself for just getting it all out there. I know when I am down I just want to binge watch TV and eat chips! Now that is NOT the way to be accountable; it really is being in hiding. So to be honest with others and accountable is really more important than what is on the scale...because, and you know this already, you are more than what is on the scale! I know that scale can be a pain sometimes but you have the right mindset of keeping going and going low carb. I do think that helps as well as getting rid of all snacking...at least that is what I heard today on the Food Revolution broadcast.

    Water retention will cause weight gain. A gallon of water weighs about 8 lbs. Thyroid Rx also wreak havoc Eat right, watch portions & update us next week. U CAN FO THIS!
