How are you connecting with friends and family during the pandemic? What has the pandemic taught you to be grateful for? Are there things you were taking for granted?

What are some good/positive things you have seen or heard about during this pandemic?

I connecting with family and friends through e-mail or by phone. The pandemic taught me to be grateful for my family. I have not taken anything for granted.

I have heard that where I live in Virginia, there are only 300 people who have the virus and only 4 deaths.

Here where I am in Maryland we have the most deaths and 2nd most cases. For a tiny state we have over a million people in our county.

I'm grateful for my family, too. That's great that you don't have that many cases where you live.

I am an introvert so it hasn't been too bad. I miss my church family, but that's about it. I love working from home. It's so much less stressful not having to worry about the commute every day. I am enjoying getting extra walks/exercise in and losing a little weight. I am cooking more and eating out very little. I spent little money except on food and stuff for the pets. Overall it has been okay. We are still under shelter in place orders here and have had about 6,000 cases in my county with about 300-400 deaths.

Hi Patti stay safe. I also have kept in touch through phone test, and face time. We are going through stage two of the restart plan here. We have had no cases in my community, but Interior Heath, which is approximately twice the size of Virginia but with a way smaller population, has had 183 cases and 2 deaths. British Columbia has had a total of 2,479 and 152 deaths. Unfortunately in the larger centres the virus got into several long term care facilities and that was devastating. The Provincial Government is now implementing a single site work order and making a minimum wage for all workers in the facilities as they felt a visitor brought the virus into the first site, but workers that worked in multiple sites spread it into other facilities.
