5lbs in 3 weeks!

After my first 2 years on SP I had lost 30lbs, I was happy with what I had accomplished but it was not where I wanted to be. Because I couldn't accept it, over time I gained about half of it back even though I thought I was trying...I clearly wasn't.

A few months back I realized that I needed to take a step back from everything so I could refocus on myself.

3 weeks ago I got sick again and remembered why I was here in the first place, to help my body fight this and get stronger and healthier. I decided I was ready to start trying again and make healthy eating a priority. I admit that I have not been exercising as our gyms are closed and it is around 100 degrees every day. In 3 weeks I have lost 5lbs with the only change being that I am making smarter food decisions, and that I have cut alcohol completely. I am tracking food and steps again.

I am very happy with this and this has motivated me to want to think about adding in exercise again.

I plan to be a success story at some point in my journey but until then, I choose to be happy where I am and keep trying. I came very close to giving up completely, but something kept pulling me back here. You can come back when things go wrong, do not give up.

It all comes down to the choices you make, I choose to take care of me.
