Bicycling around the neighborhood

I like to bicycle when it is fairly cool, not raining, and not humid. I am not a fan of inclines and I prefer to not have any traffic around.

I want to "toot my horn" today. I went ahead and said "yes" to my husband when he asked if I wanted to go along and bicycle around the neighborhood.

My spouse, Tommy, has gotten to be pretty consistent about doing his BowFlex a couple times a week and warming up before hand by cycling about 10 miles. Well, I did not go the whole way, but i did join him for 3.5 miles of the trek.

To be illustrate my success, I capture a little photo of my trek on Google Maps.



This path did not go up nor down any real inclines. When we ride toward the recreational center and our local greenway there is one pretty big hill I have to come back on. I have gotten a little better over time --ignoring the burn and not having to walk.

Maybe this 8-week challenge I can add more bicycling for some cardio. The last two challenges, I have done more and more (gentle) yoga, but no cardio nor strength training.

update: My hubby's cell phone measured our route to be 3.25 miles. Still not too bad. We went again today, July 3, and i rode 3.25 miles in 20 minutes....so 9.75 mph.
