Thoughts on 2020

Wednesday, July 01, 2020

Thought I would share some memes that express my feelings on 2020 which has brought me one challenge and adversity after another with the pandemic on top like a spoiled horrid smelling topping on a rancid banana split. That said, I am eating healthy and exercising and teaching my kids about resilience, but sometimes I like to use dark humor to cope. I have used some of these memes before.

To give proper credit, I found a lot of these here: https://voicesofmontereybay.or

This was sums it up well...

I was telling my husband years from now someone will naively make a film about 2020. The studio executives will be shocked to find that nobody goes to the movie except people who were not born until after 2020 or those who were too young to know what was going on.

Nothing like Zoom classes, meetings, happy hours and camp. If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone remind someone else they are muted and need to click to unmute!

I have actually been on the hunt for fashionable masks. Can you believe how normal it is for everyone to wear masks now?

Looking back at old photos from 2020...

The commercials have gotten interesting and ridiculous...

Are we still supposed to be worried about murder hornets or is that no big deal now?

Is there any way we can trade this year in and have a do-over? Maybe the kids can all repeat a grade and adults over 45 can all take a year off their age?

Someone needs to come up with a hostile goodbye 2020 and don't come back song we can all sing with glee on new year's eve once we are all miraculously vaccinated before the new year.
