Just sayin’ … just please

It’s been an interesting time here in the Rockies.

First … Hubby has become “himself” after months and months of a manic episode that ended with months and months of medication withdrawals. We go next week for a follow up with the doc and Hubby insisting he will never, ever take Risperdal again.

It is sooooooooo good to have HIM back. I have truly missed “him”.

We have picked back up on re-doing the bedroom walls. Started skim coat #2 today.

I had dental surgery. This was rescheduled from when the world shut down. I am “blessed” with crappy teeth from my mom and crappy gums from my dad. So, every tooth I own has been worked on and periodontal care and surgery for lucky me. I had another tooth removed … the tooth pocket / gum continued to be infected no matter what we did so he removed the tooth and completed the periodontal surgery on the lower left. Then the upper left “just” needed gum trimmed to reduce the pocket. The after pain for the trim was like severe rug burn that still smarts 2 weeks later.

And OH … while we’re here why not go ahead and put in the base for my implant from the first tooth removed in November on the lower right.

So … eating has been a real challenge and only soft food. Stitches come out next Tuesday !!!

Then my Uncle was exposed to COVID by someone who didn’t stay home even though they had symptoms. Uncle started to run a low-grade fever so he and family went to be tested. While in line for the test … Uncle fell and broke his hip. The next day he had a total hip replacement. He also tested positive for COVID.

Less than a week later … he is gone.

He was just 79.
He was a Marine … bigger than life.
He was a big man with an even bigger heart.
He died alone … because of the COVID.
My Aunt had not seen him for almost a week.
Married 61 years.
No good-byes.
No hugs.
His last words were … how much he loved my Aunt.

We are not happy.

OneKidsMom state has the 3 Ws …

Wear … your mask.
Wash … your hands.
Watch … your social distancing.

So … just follow the rules already.

Change your mind … and the rest WILL follow.

Coz … I want to be ME.

Sympathy and Condolences. Covid19 continues to bring out the worst (and best too) in people. So sad when one uncaring person can 'spread' the bad news. Wish we had universal and clear guidelines to follow and enforce. Locally, a young bank teller with cold and fever symptoms was told by his supervisor to return to work after only two sick days because she was sure he didn't have Covid and not to worry. Uh, Hello? This is not what the CDC recommends.

So very sorry for the loss of your beloved Uncle . . . and the grief of your Aunt losing her beloved husband of 61 years under such sad circumstances.

Yes, the 3Ws. I m compliant. I know you are compliant. And I share your hope that others will come to understand what it is that we all need to do.

Wishing you healing -- both the dental and the heart break kinds of healing. I am sure your husband, returned to you, will be as supportive to you as you have always been to him.

    Oh, my dear friend.
I am so sorry about your uncle’s passing...tragic and infuriating at the same time.
Added to your pain and suffering of the last few must be a strong woman to endure it.
Happy about your man, though...that must be helping you deal with it all.
    Take care.

Oh my gosh, I am just so very sorry about all you've been through for yourself, your DH and your family.

I am deeply sorry to hear about your Uncle's passing and it really infuriates me that people just DO NOT take the proper precautions. This virus is real. This virus kills. This virus changes families forever!!!

Definitely follow OKM's 3 W's. You owe it to yourself AND those around you.

I am very glad to read that DH is back. Hallelujah. Long may it last.

HUGS and prayers for peace for you and your family. Thoughts and all good wishes. So sorry.

emoticon (The antiseptic virtual kind that cannot pass viruses!) So sorry for your loss. More and more of us are seeing people we know and love falling to this horrid thing. But each individual loss is heavy!

On the good news front... so happy your hubby is back and hope that continues... it's a whole lot easier to live through the "better or worse" when you recognize your partner, if you know what I mean.

Hang in there... prayers for you and yours.
