SOMEONE USED OUR CREDIT CARD

Wednesday, August 05, 2020

Hi everyone. My husband was informed by our credit card company that someone tried to charge a pair of $500.00 NIKE shoes to our account. Luckily they were denied and our card was closed down. We are now awaiting replacement cards. Glad the company caught it.

Thank you to all who responded to the concert or concerts as was the case due to my error.. I now have a print out to check off the steps I need to take to schedule it for when I want it to be published. We'll try it again for this Saturday's.

Found a great Christmas book for solo sax with really nice accompaniment for all the songs. I started playing through them last night. There are 34 to choose from. I plan to start numbering Christmas concerts at #1 again. I'll do three a week for 6 weeks.A total of 18 carols all in all .Xmas1!, Xmas 2 and so on.My first one will be the Saturday after Thanksgiving. My last will be on New Year's Eve. I have already informed dear hubby that the tree will have to be up before Thanksgiving so we can do the first recording. Naturally I have to sit in front of the tree! I know many of you don't even want to think of Christmas in August, but if you're a musician you have to start plans early..yes, even in August to practice and learn what you want to perform. If any of you have a special carol, please request it in the next month. Thanks!

That happened to me too. I was in Houston using my credit card at McDonald for my kids and it was denied because someone in San Antonio took $5000 dollars off of my credit card and another $2K from my debit card minutes before that transaction.
It was an upsetting experience. We got the money back in days, but I still felt cheated somehow.

    Thieves are the worst.

Sorry to hear that. Scary times! Alot of hacking, breaches and thieves everywhere. We've had 2 cards involved in a breach in the past, new accounts and cards.
My aunt had $5200.00 charged to her cable bill after a breach. You're lucky. She had to hire a lawyer to get it back. Just weird how it all happened and how no one came through for her on it.
Have a good day. Make sure to change your password and have 2 step verification set up on your new card, if you have an online account with them. emoticon

Wow for your credit card! Same thing happened to me and I waited for over a week to get a replacement...
My favorite Christmas carol is What Child is This. I would love to hear you play it!

I love Christmas music. I would probably play it year-round if my family would let me emoticon . I'm really hoping that I'll be able to have the whole Praise team back together so that we can have our Christmas Eve candlelight service.

I'm glad that your credit card company caught the mistake!

Yes! So glad you found out in time! I have alerts on both of my CC, if something over $5.00 is charged I get the notice, immediately! It could have been a REAL problem! Glad how it turned out!
