This was such a great day filled with sunshine and moderate temps. I took advantage and got out early for a power walk with the little dog Turbo Tyson before dinner. I had been playing with great granddaughter Hailie outside all day and did lots of walking with following her in her tricycle then her and I taking a walk to finish off our day together. Her mommy showed up as we were just returning home.
Prior to going out with Hailie I did some running indoors to get myself up to over 5,000 steps. By the time I got home from walking with Tyson I had already surpassed the daily goal with over 15,000 steps. After a light dinner I decided to drive down to a favorite place where they have an awesome trail. I promised myself I would do 4 miles but wanted to get 10,000 more steps in before I finished so I ended up power walking 4.6 miles.
I did stretching before even getting into my car because I didn't want to start hurting once home. I felt awesome and still do. Had a couple of rice cakes with peanut butter and 2 cups of water and now I will relax for the rest of the night. It has been an awesome day and I am most pleased with myself. My timing for power walking is on average 14.5 min per mile.
