Holy cow! --What would I ever do if "YOU" weren't here?
so------wear that mask!--

Anyway, it is "EAR DAY" for Himself--THEY ARE IN--THE EARS ARE IN!
Do you think he will wear them?
Lord love a Duck! I sure hope so!

AND--There is more! --My new glasses are in--and I WILL WEAR THEM!---
-funny they both came on the same day--

-so important that we stay safe!
Our Prime Minister, Trudeau, is speaking at 6-30 pm--- probably telling us about the 2nd wave of COVID--probably telling us that we will be dealing with smaller numbers in our bubble--maybe closing places--the importance of -social distancing and masks--get a flu shot--

Lord love a Duck--STAY STRONG____
WE WILL GET THRU THIS ---WE BETTER!

Great post and I now wear hearing aids and they actually are such a benefit. The more I wear them the more I love them.
The coolest thing is to be able to hear the birds and wind blowing. I shoot photos so hearing the birds is very helpful. I will sometimes not wear them but have to add them in the evening to watch TV.

I hope you all in Canada survive this 2nd wave-don't think USA is doing to well. I just avoid people and I always wear a mask and social distance. I am that person that some in my family make fun of. Thank goodness my kids don't but then, stepkids do. You would think they would not want to make dad sick. We won't be having holiday's here more than likely.

I agree. Every day is a blessing. I sure hope Himself wears the hearing aids. I wear ear pods and they drive me crazy (of course they aren't for hearing they are for listening). LOL I really need to get new glasses soon. It seems like these progressives aren't working. I still have to take my glasses off and put on readers. So I am leaning toward getting just regular lenses for distance and just keep the dollar tree readers.

Love reading your posts. They do make my day. Stay Safe,

Every day is definitely a gift. The past 2 Wednesday’s I have had procedures done and yesterday’s was the worst—another cancer removed from the right side of my nose and barely able to wear my glasses except for very short time as my nose is really hurting this time. I am excited to have a optometrist appointment in a few weeks and hope to get new glasses. Glad yours came in and Himself is getting his new ears. Have fun. emoticon

It feels good when we uplift others, and we feel good when we are uplifted. You and Himself do that for each other. Good luck with the eyes and ears. emoticon

Glad to hear Himself's 'ears' and your glasses have arrived - now you will be able to see him and he will be able to hear you.

As for the Prime Minister speaking - I would think he would be talking about what you have said - I notice more people are wearing masks which is good but there are still a lot that don't think anything is wrong with being in large groups - come on people even it it wasnt because of covid the flu season is arriving - take the time to back away some in order to stay healthy - who wants to get a cold or the flu just because it is that time of the year - we could cut those numbers way down if we just all applied common sense

here already and testing is in disarray in the GTA. Seems we are a bit behind in that area... plenty of people cannot go back to work unless they test negative.

Justin didn’t say much ... it was kind of a pep talk. I think he might have said more, and what is next. But they will do some shuffling here and shut down some places, maybe nail salons, bars possibly ... and I think it is overdue. Second wave is he

Like the rest of the group said, its cool to get these together. I have heard ( not actually heard/ but read ), the newer ones are so much better. First of all, a rechargeable battery, and they make more selections, in that one can turn down the background noise, they they could just hear you or TV and music. The last thing I read, is they are way more comfortable.

I have a relative right now that refuses to wear them, because of his mom's lousy ones. I guess certain ones cost more, but if at all possible... it's worth it without having the old problems. I saw ad for less costly ones at Walmart but only certain states in the US carry them. I do not know about mail order.

I'm one of those who believe we should keep visitation with others besides families, and I do think there are additional ways to do so. Changing clothing, showering, air machines... Now the air machines do not prevent the virus, but less likely to get other things that run down the immune system.

For those that do not feel comfortable with what I said, or have health problems...I highly recommend zoom, facetime, and the phone. Otherwise. many feel lousy from being isolated. I read a 3 page4 article in a newspaper that stated, that no interaction is as bad, as a list of bad habits. emoticon

When my husband and I were first married, we had an elderly neighbour who loved to come over to visit and to watch the hockey game on our television. Sometimes she would scold us soundly and tell us not to yell because she had her hearing aid on. Another time she would speak sternly and tell us to speak up because she didn't have them turned on! Such great memories! I hope your DH enjoys his new ears and I am sure you will look terrific in your new glasses.

Hope he wears those ears so you can put the megaphone away! Lol Enjoy your new glasses! A lot of people wish they lived in Canada right now. I hear it all the time. We must stay positive and do what we can do stay safe and try not to get frustrated by the ones around us who are individualistic and ignore the safety measures. Have a great day!:)🤗💜🌸

How lucky to get new ears and glasses on the same day.
Hubby had his flu shot yesterday and is now harping at me
to make sure I get mine. It is already scheduled for October
13th, as was his until he went to the VA. Short memory.

Glad the new personal appliances (glasses and hearing aids) came at the same time. I just think back to my grandparents day, hearing aids didn't exist. Great to see how we have progressed. I just wish other things in our lives were progressing instead of going backwards in time.

I do hope Himself will get used to wearing his new ears and make life a little easier for you. Its difficult trying to yell at someone in the same room with you because they refuse to wear the aids to help them hear. I guess they don't want to admit that they are getting old- er. In my husband's case, he was in the airforce and worked on the planes before flying. Then went into the cockpit and became the flight engineer. After service, he worked with heavy equipment and messed his hearing up with all the high pitch sounds. I can tell his hearing is almost gone, even with the hearing aids. But thank God, he's still with me. We have so much to thank God for. Have a good day.
