Another great day with power walking and strength training.

I got out this afternoon before dinner with Turbo Tyson (my little Chihuahua) and we power walked 3.5 miles. Tyson is fast and sometimes even gets ahead of me which encourages me to go faster. Together we walked at a pace of a 16 minute mile.
After dinner I drove down to the trail I love walking on and managed to get 2.75 miles in before having to come home. The sun was coming down fast and I don't want to be out in the dark. So that was 6.24 active miles of power walking for the day and now it's time for some strength training.
I am feeling stronger every day and with the beautiful weather we have been having, I feel even more healthy than ever. I love being outdoors as opposed to being cooped up inside.
I wish we didn't have to endure a winter season her but that's southern Canada for you. It snows and it gets cold so I bundle up and I get out and power walk in the cold. I stay warm with the help of my mittens and my scarf and toque. Hoping the winter is mild but if not and we get a ton of snow I will make snow mazes in the back yard for the dogs to play through as I did 6 years ago when we got walloped with more snow than we expected.
On that note I'm off to get my strength training in. Have a great night everyone.
