"By New Years" resolutions

Holy cripes! New Years Day is only 8 weeks from today!
I've decided to make some By New Years resolutions - goals to be reached by January 1, 2021. The ones I make on New Years Day are usually grand and often soon forgotten. Setting goals to reach over the course of an entire year is too daunting. Nomally I resolve to "gain less than 50 pounds, smoke less than 3 packs a day, and stop doing heroine at lunch" because, heck, why set yourself up for failure???
But a couple "by New Years" resolutions set in early November sound very doable. So here goes...
I can now run a 5k pretty comfortably. By running every other day until 2021 I resolve to have completed at least one 8k run.
Based on my 5 months of loosing 1.5 pounds a week, I resolve to lose 12 more pounds by 2021. This'll mean I'll start the year at 166.
I resolve to make all my Christmas gifts except those that I might buy from other crafts people in my circle.
Once a week, for the next 8 weeks, I resolve to write and mail one real live letter (in cursive).
By the end of 2020 I resolve to have made myself new kitchen curtains. I have all the fabric I just need a couple pieces of hardware, a modicum of ambition, and then Merry Christmas ME!
By the end of 2020 I will have thought out and perfected a New Year's Resolution for 2021. Maybe not 12 goals but a set of foundational principles on which I will base 2021. I have so much room for improvement, the possibilities for 2021 are boundless!
That's a good list. I could come up with dozen more like making my bed, drinking 8+ cups of water, and flossing my teeth but they are more daily goals than By New Years resolutions.
What about you? Do you have an "By New Years" resolutions?
