Thanksgiving is around the corner

My husband wants the traditional Thanksgiving dinner; I don't. I have worked hard to lose this weight and I don't want to slip up. I will have to plan my meal different from his. Anyone else face with this problem?

    Every Thanksgiving and Christmas and family together. I skimp on the other meals and only eat small portions.

    Planning is how I handle it, too. I allow myself a taste of my favorite foods, concentrate on the turkey and veggies, skip dessert (I really don't have a sweet tooth, so I feel fortunate with that). Plenty of water too.

    When I was way more OCD than I am now, I attended big holiday meals and did a great job of limiting myself to little dabs of favorite dishes and healthier dishes. Avoid the super bad stuff or have just the tiniest taste. It is possible! emoticon

    I love holiday meals! I tend to plan around them with exercise/smaller other meals so I can participate guilt-free. You could use a small plate if portion control is an issue, but just one big meal shouldn't set you back by much if you're mindful!
