acartohygieiophobia
(n.) The morbid fear of running out of toilet paper. From the Greek, literally "absence of paper for hygiene purposes, fear of."
Ok, I'm sure I will get lambasted for this but I have been hit with acartohygieiophobia and I don't like it. I have found a few articles about TP Consumption (is consumption the right word?!) but I too have been hit with this irrational phobia and decided to put it out here in the hopes I am not alone.
This article was really funny! I laughed my way through it!

Then I found a calculator that was absolutely worthless because none of the preferred TP's have 500 sheets anymore and haven't for a very long time.
If anyone reading this shares my phobia, acartohygieiophobia, than I have found a calculator that put my worries to rest. I correctly calculated that I go through 2 rolls per week, on average. My walking buddy & I discussed this and we both agreed that 2 per week sounded ok. Thankfully I am hoping not to be obsessed any longer with this "irrational" fear. That said, people survived without TP for a very long time and yet civilization has continued to survive.
Here is the link for an actually good way to calculate usage.

Yes, I am sure to be the "butt" of many jokes - but I don't believe in hiding my head in the sand. For those sharing my phobia, acartohygieiophobia, in the absence of "flushable wipes" there are still non-flushable baby wipes which are actually a better deal money-wise. Sam's Club carries a MembersMark Unscented which is of excellent quality.
As a side-note, when I was caregiver for my husband, he didn't feel clean unless he used washrags. I actually found a hint that came from using a diaper pail that I am going to share because it worked! The article said to use "dishwasher soap" in the pail since it was food that started this mess, lol. I can tell you, I took a cheaper Cascade Pod and dissolved it in hot water in a small bucket and when the bucket was full, I washed everything with bleach. What was interesting is the total lack of odor and the fact that all the cloths came out clean - NO Stains whatsoever!
