2021 Winter 5% Exercise Commitment.
What type of exercise will you do and how many minutes and how often will you exercise?
For this challenge my commitment is to walk on the treadmill 4-5x/week aiming for 3 miles each time. If the weather is pleasant on the weekends, I will walk outside. Also, weather permitting, I will work in the yard 2-3 days each week.
For my nutrition commitment, I have been doing mostly plant-based or I think it is actually referred to as whole foods. I eat very little processed foods and rarely fast food. I generally eat like they did in Bible times focusing on vegetables, fruit, grains and nuts and occasionally lean meat, eggs, and cheese. I am also going to incorporate some fasts during the year as these seem to help me focus and reset. Today I started on a no-snacking streak so we'll see how long I can keep that up. It's just become a habit and I've noticed it being part of my daughter's "routine" as she does it at the same time or after certain events. She is on the autism spectrum so I will have to guide her away from that. Food is so readily available and eating is just something to do when nothing else is going on! I find myself even justifying healthy snacks just for the sake of eating and not for real hunger. We'll see how this goes.
