Feeling good about the choice I made

I was just about to have a late night snack. I had checked my calorie range for the day and I had enough left. I got out the glass, I got out the pitcher... And then a jar on the countertop caught my eye. It was a snackl I had had earlier in the day. I couldn't remember if I had written it down, so I pulled out my phone and checked. Nope, not on the list. I added it, and suddenly I didn't have enough left for my snack after all. I debated having it anyway - I wouldn't be over by too many calories, so did it really matter? I decided it did - I put the pitcher and the glass away. And I don't feel deprived, I just feel like I made a good decision.
