Challenge Day 4
Wednesday, November 28, 2007
Hey! THANKS for your suggestions about the other fruit! Apples! We have plenty of those here in Idaho, and I haven't been taking advantage of them... Also, interesting about the cranberries, and prunes? Who would have thought! Sounds like maybe FRUIT is going to be an easy answer to my digestive problems!
I do know that right now, raw veggies aren't helping, but zapping them a bit in the microwave, or steaming them lightly is good... I'll probably continue to eat them that way for awhile.
Something kinda funny... my g-daughter called last night and wanted some help with a homework project... something that NEEDS INTERPRETATION from Olde English--like, the King James Version of the Bible... I hope I can help her as we get together in another hour! I had to chuckle--did she think I spoke/wrote Olde English in my childhood/youth?? Then, I remembered my perspective of my parents and grandmother's ages when I was 14... Ha!
Until tomorrow...
PS Later: Turns out that Miss Jessica's English assignment was to interpret into modern day phrases the story of Homer's Odyssey, or something similar--an old maritime tale. Turns out that after the first few sentences she figured out most of what the writer was saying, and she needed little of my help, although she thanked me profusely when she was done! :) What a sweetheart! I raised two boys, so she's a BLESSING!
