Gearing up for the changes coming our way....

We are taking our time, and deciding, as a family, on the best approaches to our heathier lifestyle. We have some unique challenges to meet:

1. I have to consume at least 80 grams of protein daily, and I cannot drink milk . I also take a pharmacy of meds that can and do affect my appetite =(.

2. My son, who is 15, is the largest of us all at over 300 pounds and 5'10". Until this year he played football and wrestled. He still powerlifts. He is a volume eater and oddly enough, a very picky eater.

3. My Husband freaks out if the concept of "diet" enters his world. Even the concept of eating heathier causes trembling and the sudden urge to wolf down anything in his vicinity. He knows it is a mental thing with him, but still....

4. The girls, me, and my husband are allwithin 10-15 pounds of each other. We can all eat off the same range of calories and food choices. My son though is a whole different ballgame.

So, this is what we will be doing over the next few days.

    Wow, what a challenge! I have my teen doing Spark Teens. She really likes it and has lost 5 lbs so far. She even started her own Anime team. I have my family doing a walking challenge with me...The Walk to Rivendell (hobbit). We each have a pedometer and log our miles every night onto a spreadsheet. My middle child and hubby are neck and's quite fun.

    Best of luck with your programme, it looks very sensible. I also have chronic lower back pain and the Elliptical hasn't aggravated it at all, thank goodness. P.S. It'd be nice to see a pic of your dogs and cats.

    Ahhh, yes.... my hubby after accidentally insulting my weight loss program, has gained 15lbs aftr I lost 40 lbs. Serves them right you know.
