I'm hoping that is the link that gets you there.

The Federal Government has a place where you can access data, information, recipes, and yes even compile a cookbook. I get an email from ChooseMyPlate, and at times it has links to explore while at other times it has a recipe or an encouragement to eat healthy. So far I've seen lots of options having English and Spanish resources.

I'm going to be trying to put another cookbook together for the Ethnic Food Lovers team. I'm not sure how I'll put it somewhere folks can access it from the group here, but since there's a will there must be a way.

Or was that when there's a must be Well's away? hahaha

So, does anyone have experience with Windows 10? My new-to-me desktop has that installed as the OS and I was not quite used to Win8.1, so nothing is intuitive for me at this point. Windows lost me by Vista.

I'm experimenting with a DIY Hot Cocoa mix with baking cocoa, dry milk powder, sugar, cinnamon, and tweaks. I ended up with lots of powdered milk that I want to utilize for more than emergency milk for cereal some mornings. hahaha

Here is a link to my Chef's Anonymous webpages. These are now going to start to be worked on again, since I lost the passwords to do so 12 years ago. Yes, I finally found my way back in, but things are rough. Check out the links if you will, this one is for bulk cooking -- two recipes from the Deli I worked in Canyon Lake Texas, freezable mashed potato recipe for 25 that I got from a caterer, and more...

I have a soul food page I recommend, and the NM green chile sauce & recipe on the main page for our virtual kitchen. I'm so excited to get back in and start cleaning those pages up and filling them out, renewing links and more. Oh boy--oh boy--oh boy--oh boy.

Be an adult now, play with your food! It was illegal when you were a kid, but now the rules have changed. Who says getting older means you miss out on good things in this life?

Please note that I commend those who stick to health and recipe/technique boards. I have sewhat, computer, and others but don't take me to task if you are disappointed in me for some of them. Thanks.

I have been enjoying some of the recipes and techniques I've found on SpruceEats dot com, Mu next recipe from there is a basic chicken curry. It uses no heavy cream or yogurt. It thickens with the browned onions; wonderful technique to learn if it works.

To avoid heavy fats & roux can be a good thing for those of us hoping to get and stay slender.

Here is a link to a blog I follow for a cook/baker who specializes in Texas food items and does a couple of other recipes as well. www.homesicktexan.com

I've smoked and cooked Texas BBQ for a restaurant, along the roadside with a portable pit, and catering for parties (we even did for the SA Spurs). It was 2nd generation by the time I came along and truly was fantastic. Lisa Fain specializes in Texas cuisine and that includes Tejano food (unfortunately aka Tex-Mex). But that's a conversation for another time. She also includes New Mexican recipes, which I can vouch for as well.

It is hard to beat these down-to-Earth recipes. Indeed, I just posted a biscuit recipe from her here for the team.

Want to lose perhaps up to 12 lbs a year with little effort and no cost?

Do that by drinking 16oz thirty minutes before each meal?

16 + 30 x 3 = 10 lbs or more @ less than 1 cent a day if you use tap water

That's crazy math, eh?

How's that for a how-to?

I'm going to start this off.
I hope others will share free resources in reply to this topic.

Here is a link to a nice food blogger's website about 12 magical ways to use a food processor. She started with a garage-sale item, from the "free" box; which she says she washed about 500 times before using.

Here is a link to ATK (America's Test Kitchen). I have an account there, the FREE kind. That means I can access things, especially if they come from the current year's program. However, they do offer a free trial period if you wish. I go to collect what I can for no cost.

This is their information onsite called Food Processor 101. I just accessed it and explored to make sure I could get at least the basics. I sure could.

Plus, here is a link to Amazon's Top Bestsellers link where I look for FREE ebooks. I read them on my FREE Kindle reading application for Personal Computers (PCs). They have craft to reference ebook categories, religion to self-help. Each of these categories has separate sub-categories. For instance, Cookbooks had sub folders for Regional, Special Appliances, and so much more.

For Free ebooks, make sure they show up as Free $0 to buy before you click on the "purchase". I have over 18K ebooks now. I have never had a hack issue nor difficulties that were not remedied.

I am going to post this data in other places at the Sparkteams I belong to so that others can take a look.
