Most useful suggestion I received when I joined SP was to aim for 40 spark points each day. That got me reading articles, drinking water, posting on boards, using trackers - and I loved seeing the points add up. emoticon

Welcome. Track every BLT (Bite, Lick, Taste), drink water & exercise. Join our Awesome August Challenge. The biggest loser gets a tiara (crown for the guys) at the end of the month. Jump in on our chat threads, daily challenges & questions.

If you really want to be pushed & held accountable, there's a BIGGEST LOSER CHALLENGE page. If you join now, you'll receive an email when the next BLC starts (which is in about 2 1/2-3 weeks). You'll have to register to join & you'll be placed on a team. The challenge is for 12 weeks. You are required to check in on chat board at least 3 times a week, you have weekly weigh ins, weekend challenges, etc. A LOT. You'll receive a lot of encouragement & tips along the way.

I took a break the last round of BLC because of so much going on. I'm ready to start again. Great coaches.

Make sure you use the trackers: nutrition and fitness! They are the best tools and you can gauge where you are and what you need to do to be successful.

Welcome! We are glad to have you. Explore SP for food plans! recipes, exercise tips and more. If you have specific questions, ask them and I am sure someone will know the answer. Track all your food. It really helps. I was amazed at how many calories I was eating every day. Also, get involved in the community boards (like this one) where you will find a lot of great info. Have a great weekend!

My major weight gain came after my thyroid was totally removed, I moved and started a new job. All that resulted in a 25 pound weight gain in 4 months. Ugh. I've never had an issue with being overweight until now. I will be 60 this October and would love to loose those stubborn pounds before the 31st of October. Any helpful suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!
