256 Area as well. Nice to meet you, Milah. My great niece was just born with a cyst on her lung and although doing well after surgery is still in the NIC unit at Childrens Hospital. I spent a week in Bham helping with the other kids. They try to eat Paleo and Gluten free at their house. While I am not interested in following those, I realized that I can make healthier eating choices which will result in weight loss. I joined Spark People 4 years ago, but I am back and ready to make some changes in my life.

Hi Milah!!! Welcome to the team!! I'm clear down at the bottom of the state!! But no matter-- we are still working toward the same things! My best advice to you is to choose a small goal for the month and do whatever it takes to reach it. Even if it's just to drink 8 glasses a water every day for a month... Or to get 10 minutes of exercise 3 days a week for a month. Whatever---start small and build on small successes!! You can do it!!

Hello, Milah. I'm new as well, and also from the 256 area. I just joined yesterday. It's a hard thing, to make changes when we seem so comfortable with the way things are. I wish you luck every step of the way...we are all here for each other.

Linda

Hey Yall,
I'm Kamilah, 30 years old (OMG, first time I've written that since my birthday lol), I'm a single mommy of a ventilator dependent and trachie baby who is 2 years of age and runs the house. I have a passion for getting my life back, however it has been an uphill battle since I had my son. I am a graduate student working on my PhD in Addiction Psychology and this takes up a lot of time as well!!! I am looking to find motivational people to hold me accountable for exercising and keeping my Ish together. I would love to participate in either a color run or the Ronald McDonald House Charities (as they were a saving grace the 7 months my son was hospitalized). So that's me and who I am in a nutshell so holla at me and let me know if anyone is interested in helping in my journey. Thanks in Advance,

Milah
