Hello sparkers! I'm April, 36 year old Florida mama to four amazing kiddos. I've joined spark to have a place to share and success, trials and errors and also where I can get a kick in the butt when needed. I've learned in adulthood that I have definite ADHD that tries to get in my way of tasks and goals that I really do want to complete. From housekeep to family schedules, and me time. With four children ranging from 1-12 finding time for me is hard. I wan something, need something that is all mine, and I choose getting fit! I've always been thin, it was one of the things I always hit picked on as a kid - even had an elementary song about me "she's skinny as a skeleton...." creeps! Weight loss is not my goal, toning up top to bottom, and repairing my newly discovered diastasis recti. I'm thrilled to have learned I have it as much as it stinks. But.... The idea that through deep core exercises I may be able to repair it, lose the 'mommy tummy' and have an answer to my lower back pain is huge for me. I have no gym time (obviously) and want to alternate cardio with core exercises. I really want to begin jogging, got the stroller now need some running shoes!
