I guess I'm just trying to rekindle my drive. Having achieved my first weight goal, I've become complacent and find myself drifting back into bad habits. I don't have any trouble following a healthy diet -- in fact, I LOVE fresh produce and whole grains -- but I ALSO love unhealthy food, and have recently allowed them back into my diet. This was a MISTAKE! I need to exorcise those demons again now, before I sabotage my progress. I believe that a new challenge will motivate me and keep me accountable.

The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

I do not have Spark Coach and do not need it. I am almost at my goal weight and exercise 8 hours a week. I plan my meals at least 3 days at a time and add to it and go over it daily so it is less work tracking. When I shop I have at least 7 days planned and use the shopping list and try to use up my food in the fridge. I need to keep it up so I do not gain weight.I have lost 50 pounds this year.

If you have Spark Coach you can do the plateau busting challenge...it might even be a regular challenge. It helped me a lot when I got stuck last Spring.

What I work towards in this challenge is what had become my biggest problem... eating the correct amount of calories. I found that I was NOT eating as many calories as my body needed and that was when my weight loss stopped!! My body went into 'starvation mode' and refused to let go! SO with that said, I just try to stay in my calorie range... and burn calories with daily exercise.

I try to do my meals OK, but I kinda loose it in the evening when I make dinner.

I also can't seem to get that water in - I make up two 16.9oz waters for work and don't even get those down before the end of the day! UGH! emoticon

OH Well! Something to work on! emoticon

I joined for the same reason. I kind of knew about metabolism and how it works, but the challenge helped clarify that and now I vary top end, middle and low end calorie days.

Good question Lauren! When I signed up I realized that I wasn't loosing because I wasn't eating enough calories. My body went into starvation mode and stop. I hit a plateau that I was not getting off from unless I did something to change my habits for dieting.

Calories in... calories out!
