I am a stoke survivor as well. Had one on Saturday afternoon and the next the following Monday morning,. The third was a month and half later. I was placed. Went to wheelchair to walker to cane ad now can walk around the house but use a walker outside. Then I had three more in the past 4 years, The last one while in the hospital, my heart stopped. I now have a Reveal inserted in my chest and a control around my neck if things start to go wrong.
My memory was affected - the short term side of it. Low BP and extreme fatigue most ot the time.

I also have fibromyalgia. My knee cap is perforated at places and no surgery will be done until a piece falls off and locks my knee...hummm. Meanwhile it's SORE grrr

So as for me, I love to knit, crochet, sew, bowl and go for walks with my walker. I have grand-children and a great-gran-child, a daughter (my son went to live with the Lord 14 years ago, now) and I have a sweetheart of a husband. I'm blessed to see this day as it is truly a gift to wake up in the morning

Have a great day and hope this challenge will grow! Together we can do this!

Always struggled with weight , but been able to diet and exercise. Since stroke it?s been difficult and I?ve gained even more. Regaining mobility now and motivated! Was left side paralyzed, can now walk and have some shoulder and elbow mobility. Waiting for left hand! Thank God for his love and care! There were no cognitive effects from stroke, just motor!
