I agree 100% that walking is the best place to start. Even 10 minutes a day will make a difference in how you feel. Do what you physically can do today and increase it a little each day.

Best wishes on your spark journey to fitness, health, and weight loss. Spark People is a great place to be and has many, many available resources.

Take care and let us know how you are doing from time to time.

Hi yourself :) I'm sure you will find the help you need at SPARKPEOPLE. It is a wonderful site even though it may take a while to really figure out how everything works. The teams and the experts are excellent places to go for advice. If you want to dive right into an exercise program try one of the challenges. If you're very sedentary starting with walking as little as 10 minutes a day and building up to... maybe your first 5k is a great way to get started and you can go at your own pace. I wish you huge success on your journey!!!

Hi there, I'm a 30 something girl (still don't think I'm a grown-up). Sshh! I'll be 40 next year.
I've got a lot of weight to lose and need to increase my exercise (which shouldn't be hard as I don't do any at the moment )
I follow a healthy eating plan and I've noticed that I need online support and came across this... It looks great on here, albeit a bit confusing, but I'm sure I'll find my way around, eventually ;-)
I just wanted to say hi!! and throw myself into the deep end and hopefully completely immerse myself as I need lots of motivation... I didn't get to where I am today (big & unfit) with lots of will power, but rather the lack of it.
I'm in a good place and long may it continue.
Hope to 'see' lots of you all!!
