Evening it is almost my bedtime. Got my taxes filed make a trip to the store. I got a small Angel good cake, cool whip and blueberries for tomorrow. Several of us are going out to Pastor and Teresa's house and do some target practice. One is bringing chicken, one sided and I'm bringing dessert. I may make a few deviled eggs too.

We got a little more snow today. Not a lot, but enough to stick to the ice on my pond at work. It was a bit odd looking out the window and seeing all white.

More housework tonight. I've got someone from church coming over tomorrow, and while intellectually I know that they aren't going to judge me over how my apartment looks, there's still the emotional guilt.

Yes, Susi, I got most of my packing done but still have a few last minute things to add tomorrow. Once I'm packed, I'll have to weigh the suitcase to make sure it's not over the weight limit. I can pack 10 pounds of junk in a 2 pound bag so I worry about the weight. LOL

It's so dark and has been for about an hour. It's more like night time than afternoon. Still not raining though.

Peggy I know you enjoyed your Bagel this morning. :) Yep, just going to get the paper gets me out of the house by myself and I can get some fresh air. :) I need that in the winter. Besides, I made good friends with 2 of the gals that work at the gas station and I can chat with them a few minutes if they're not busy. Hehe!

Blondie, did you get more packing done today? I'm glad you could enjoy the sunshine even if it wasn't for very long. None here but it is snowing. :( It has been for a while but the ground was warm enough that in the grass it isn't covered, just some here and there and it's melting on the streets and sidewalks as soon as it lands. :)

Jan, Yep the tree is down and in the boxes. :) I have a few of the stuffed snowmen to pack away and the ornaments and that's it. :) I'm glad it's pretty much finished but it looks so boring now. This is the longest I've ever left it up. LOL! Chili in the crockpot for supper. It smells so good and it's perfect for our snowy day. :) I hope Walmart wasn't too bad when you went. I need to get Ollie a birthday present, Megan is having his party on the 8th of Feb. Not sure what to get yet, but Amazon will be my choice for looking. Hehe!

Jenn, I hope today wasn't too bad with the other tech. At least the weekend is here now and you can get away from her for a few days. :)

Jenn I hope something happens with the other tech it is frustrating to you and discouraging.

Blondie your trip is here! The sun peaked here but then went away again.

Peggy are you done getting everything ready for the new floors?

Susi did you get the tree down and in the box? Sometimes it is good to get out even if only for a little bit. What is on the supper menu?

My sinus meds are making me drowsy, so think I will have a little nap. I need to get out and head to Wal-Mart later.

Jan I'm sure the seniors will enjoy the bubbles. It will give them some time to be silly. :-)

Jenn hopefully management will get rid of that unproductive tech. It may be that either she doesn't know the job or she can't use her phone and do the job at the same time. Hopefully, they'll hire someone who's capable and motivated to do a good job.

Yes, Susi, it's like either living in Alaska or a cave. LOL For a change, the sun is shinning, but I wonder if it will stay out all day. It's supposed to get cloudy and rain later so I am enjoying the sunshine while I can. :-)
I agree with Peggy. Sometime just a short time out makes all the difference.

Peggy I'll probably do some packing once my laundry is done today. We leave for the senior center about 2:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Good morning all! It's 58 and we're on our way to Bagel King and then a walk.

That's a real pain in the neck to have a fellow employee who doesn't want to do her job and then it affects your job.

Blondie is today the day to pack or early tomorrow?

Susi it is funny how even a trip to pick up the paper can be fun.

Have a great day

Blondie, it's like living in Alaska during their night months, makes me want to just relax or sleep all day, Greg too, so you know it's bad. I really need to get out of the house anyway so I'll get the paper this morning. Strange how something so small helps. LOL! Are you ready for your trip?

Jan, that's a cute idea! I've never met anyone who could resist bubbles. :) Today Greg will bring the boxes up so I can make myself get the tree put away. I need that push from him. LOL! Other than that I have no idea what I'll do, but knowing me a nap is in there somewhere. :)

Jenn, it sounds like the other tech just wants to get paid for not doing anything. If the manager knows then he should be saying something to her about it. It's not right that it all has to go to you just because she doesn't want to do it. On the other hand if it's a new "act" she may be depressed about something and it's showing through her lack of work.

Good morning Peggy!

So I've had to severely curtail my personal web browsing at work lately (see below). And this week I've been busy cleaning and unpacking, partly because of the sofa. That's why I've been so quiet. I know that if I sit down at my desk, my productivity is out the window, and I have a to do list about 5 miles long.

My manager and I are both getting really frustrated with the other tech. Most days she sits in front of her computer with a document open so that at a glance it looks like she's working, but is actually doing stuff on her phone instead. She doesn't step up to take projects without specific instructions, she while and complains a lot, and she's frequently telling manager that she can't do (inserts whatever the project of the moment may be) until she can talk to me. And people are noticing. Which is why I've cut my personal use to almost non-existent, just in case. For me it's doubly annoying because I feel like this lack of motivation is relatively new. And I have two fairly large projects to do next week, but now I don't feel like I can safely delegate either to her. I'm just glad the manager knows all of what's going on as well.

Evening, the day sure got away from me. I put some stuff up in the craft room this morning and got stuff out to work on things for the Primetimers Valentine Party. I am cutting out thing to make love letters from God to go in their great sacks. I added small bottles of bubbles to the sack, chocolate treat and a bookmark. I hope the bubbles tickle them and they play a bit.

Jenn so glad you got your loveseat. Does it sit well?

Peggy good deal on an extra Bagel King day.

Blondie I hope you win if you played tonight.

Peggy, glad you got to sneak in the extra Bagel King today. :)

Blondie, I am proud of Greg for not doing a lot out at a time. :) He was out again today but just for a bit. Use to be he would be out there for hours even if it was really cold out. I did get a good nap in today, not sure why I needed it but I did. LOL! It won't be long now till you leave for your trip! :)

Jan, the snowman tree is finally down but I lost my ambition to pack it away. LOL! I told Greg to bring the box up tomorrow and that will force me to have to do it so the big box won't be setting in the way. :) I think both of us have just did so much for so long that now we hit the low and don't feel like doing much of anything. I'm sure we'll get over it though. :)

Jenn, one more day at work. :) Do you have any fun plans for the weekend?

Jenn you really earned the new love seat with all the work you put into getting it. I'm glad it's what you wanted and that you got it for a good price.

Susi I have different weight winter jackets for different temperatures so I'm sure the sweat shirt with the jacket was warm enough for Greg. I'm sure he was puttering around which probably kept him a bit warmer too.

Peggy I agree that an extra day of Bagel King is always fun.

Jan, your journal turned out so beautiful! I know they will love it! :) Greg uses cereal boxes for his cars and even t-paper rolls for the fenders. Anything can be used for any craft. :) I have to agree with Blondie, you should be teaching the class instead of taking it! :) You have so much fun doing those things. I'm glad to hear you only stabbed once but none would be much better. :) Maybe you can rest today?

Blondie, he does wear a sweat shirt and sweatshirt jacket. He uses that jacket all winter it's really warm. :) I have one like that too, but I do wear my winter coat when it gets really cold.

Jenn, I'm so happy for you that you got the love seat you wanted! The plus was in the price too! :) A lot of work was sure involved in getting it, but it was well worth it! I hope you slept well after all that.

Good morning Peggy! More moving stuff out today or are you about finished?

I have my couch!! Well, loveseat actually, but that's what I wanted. And I got it for a lot less than I had expected, because someone on Facebook was selling it after getting "real" furniture.

I've spent the night either in transit to pick it up, bring it home, and return the van to work, or rearranging the living room. And now it's way past my bedtime.

Blondie, Greg was out again today for just a short time. :) It's not exactly warm out but you know him. At least it wasn't long. :) Probably a good idea to wait for next year to enjoy Disney. :) That was so nice of Lillian to invite you to lunch. :) I'm sure you had a wonderful time with her catching up. :)

Peggy Jerry may be right about not going now. You don't know what you can catch. I'll have to see if I can find a you tube video of Pandora. :-)

Earlier today, I made reservations for our bus trip luncheon and went to the office to get the paperwork done for that. This afternoon, Carolynn and I went to visit Lillian, who used to live in my community. She recently moved into an assisted living facility which is right next door to my community. She invited us for lunch and showed us around the place. We just got back.

Well Jerry changed our minds about going to Disney. We were sitting in Bagel King and a lady at the counter started coughing and sneezing and Jerry said maybe we shouldn't go for a couple of weeks. There were probably lots of people there who were coughing and sneezing. I think people don't want to miss out on their vacation and go there sick.

So we'll wait a couple of weeks. Blondie I don't know what Pandora is since I haven't seen it yet. I just know that it's got beautiful lights

We went for our walk here.

I'm glad you're doing something for you and not volunteering if you're not happy there. Volunteering is not mandatory. :-)

Susi I was up during the night too and can't seem to get myself straight this morning. I'm walking around in a daze not getting anything done.
As long as he behaves and the weather is nice, it might be good for Greg to be outside for a while. I know he enjoys his yard, :-)

Good morning all!!! It's 45 and we're on our way to Bagel King.

We're skipping our walk this morning because we are going to Disney's Animal Kingdom this afternoon. We are going to see Pandora. The lights are beautiful Jodi said and we usually don't go back to the Parks after dark in August.

We should get plenty of walking done there.

Have a fun day!!

Blondie, I'm glad Greg is staying out of trouble too. :) This is the first time
I can recall him being good when he's supposed to. LOL! He did run the vacuum for me yesterday too. :) I'm sure he'll be out again today if only for a little while. Bummer on losing at Bingo.

Jan, Heather will love that journal. :) I keep thinking one of these days I will make one for me just for the heck of it. :) You make them sounds so fun to do. :) I was up for a while with a headache and went back to bed, now I can't seem to get woke up again, so maybe back to bed again. LOL! I'm glad you are having fun in the card class, but you do them so nicely that it doesn't seem you need a class for it other than the fun. :) I think I may be catching a little cold, I keep sneezing. :(

Jenn, it sounds like they want to get a jump on things this year. I'm glad you decided not to volunteer for a change. :) You need to be away from that for a while. Not to mention that dad. He sounded like he would continue to be a problem most of the time. I'm glad you're finally able to get more unpacked. :)

Good morning Peggy! Good luck today on getting stuff cleaned out. :)

I spent most of work helping out another department. The back to school displays are showing up for testing already (we usually don't see them until mid March) and there were 6 pallet displays that needed to be filled up. When these go to the stores, they're already merchandised, but they send them to us empty so there isn't any shipment damage before we do our thing.

Tonight was activity night at church, but I decided that since we're being asked to continue on a volunteer basis until they get things figured out, I wasn't going to volunteer for tonight. I have been working on unpacking the remaining boxes in the apartment, and I really had hoped to be done by the end of the month. That's not going to quite happen unless I pull some all-nighters or call off from the lab, but I can get fairly close, I think. Then once I finish unpacking those, I'll bring in the last few boxes that are in one storage unit and get those unpacked (they're mostly clothes and Kiddo's toys). But mostly I just couldn't stomach dealing with that nay-sayer father again.

Jan, Greg wasn't out yesterday with his blower but you can believe he was today. LOL! I knew he wouldn't be able to wait much longer. Hehe! He didn't stay out too long though. :) I bet those card classes are really fun. Did you get the journal finished? Maybe after you do you can relax for a day or so. :)

Blondie, Limburger is one I've thought about trying but I can't believe I ever really would. LOL! Once my BIL put some on one of his friends manifold on his car and it was horrible. LOL! Good idea having your stuff in one place and putting it in whichever luggage you want at the last minute, at least you know you will have everything there and won't be worrying about things right before you leave. :)

Peggy with all you have to get ready for the floor, I can sure understand the mix up. :) Hopefully hands in motion relaxed you from all the work you've been doing. :)

Jenn, will you be doing stuff tonight after work? Seems like you usually do after you get off. I don't know how you do it. :) I finished my cleaning today and I was worn out. LOL!

Susi there are some stinky cheeses I don't mind but I've never tried Limburger and I don't think I could. LOL My mom like Limburger, though.

Jan not only are the chiropractor and dentist in the same building but I got an appointment with the dentist right after the chiropractor. :-)

I got my suitcase out this morning and started putting some things in that I'll take to Iceland. I have things that go in my luggage and in my carry on just thrown in. I'll straighten everything out on Friday or Saturday morning. For now, I just have everything in one place as I think of things I'll need.

Peggy, I'm surprised they are starting on a Sunday. You will burn so many calories with all that cleaning your doing! :) I would have a hard time finding places to put all the stuff I had to move out. LOL!

Blondie, that's neat that Billy use to call you the same thing. :) The only cheeses I'm not fond of are the stinky ones. LOL! Yikes on the crown falling off. :( It's great though that the other dentist and your chiropractor are in the same building and you can do both on the same day. That will be convenient! :)

Jan, are you going to be able to relax today? Well, maybe get that journal finished too. :) I'm sure it is a lot of hard work when you're trying to personalize it for a specific person. I would probably get it all messed up. LOL! I'll get the cleaning finished today finally. I feel all messed up not doing it all in one day like I usually do.

Good morning Jenn! I hope you have a good work day today,

HUGS!

Jan the moon cheese are little balls rather than the disks the whisps are shaped like. I know they're both good for Keto diets, but I just like them.

Susi Billy used to call me a cheese hound too. I don't think there are many cheeses I don't like. :-)

Peggy I'm sure, after all your work going through things, your floor will be so worth it. :-)

I went to the dentist for the cleaning but only the hygienist was there. The dentist won't be in all week. I have a crown that fell out so tomorrow I have to go to a different dentist to have it glued in. That dentist is in the same building as my chiropractor so I'll go to both appointments tomorrow.

I'm just back to my normal. We've been cleaning out the china closet, stereo cabinet and side tables. Plus I have been cleaning out clothes from my dressers too. All of those pieces of furniture have to be moved so that they can move the furniture to put in the floor starting next Sunday.

Blondie, there is only one time cheese ever turned some green on me and I cut the bad places out and ate the rest. Hehe! Greg calls me a cheese hound. LOL! Do you have everything you need for the trip together? I would have to have a list and go over it 8 or 9 times. LOL! I know you are getting so excited, it won't be long now. :) I'll have to check those whisps out. :)

Peggy I'm with Jan, what else besides Bagel King did you do today? :)

Jan, I'm glad you're feeling better and it probably wasn't food poisoning. :) I know you'll get the journal finished and it will be so nice. :) Greg's appt went well today. He's cleared to use the leaf blower. LOL! His bp was so perfect and his O2 was 100%! She said she never has seen that on the meter before. :) Sure wish mine was! After that we stopped at the bank because I couldn't get my password change, it just kept going and going. I guess it had something to do with my pc so they let me change it there. :) Then to the hospital to talk to a lady there that is working with Greg on the bill. We're lucky enough to get some assistance on it since he is on SS. :) Then to the pharmacy to pick up a refill and home to finish cleaning. I was so tired by that time I ended up taking a nap. I was worn out from all the going. I will look for the whisps the next time I'm at Walmart! :)

Jenn, how was work today?

Afternoon all. I am better and don't think it was good poisoning just that the seasoning didn't agree with my stomach. That happens with Keto that is more clean eating. Working on my journal it is so time consuming as I am not sure what I am doing. LOL

Susi I love cheese whips they are crisp cheese and I can eat them all at one sitting. They are located in the Wal-Mart deli area at mine. How did the doctor visit go?

Blondie we don't have the moon chips here but if they are cheaper I wish we did. What did you do today?

Peggy what all did you do besides Bagel King.

Jenn so glad you have a good auto shop. What all did you do today at work?

Jenn the whisps and moon cheese are very similar in flavor but the moon cheese is cheaper.
I hope you enjoyed the Chinese food. With all the talk about Chinese food, I'm in the mood for it now, too. :-)

Susi I don't let cheese stay around here for very long either. The moon cheese and whisps are something that doesn't need refrigeration. If I don't eat all of it in one sitting, or by the time I come home, I won't have to worry about it going bad.

Jenn, I'm glad you have a good shop to go to! That is rare now days. But by going you saved yourself from a possible wreck with the brakes and rotors. :) I like that they checked the tires so thoroughly too. :)

Jan, I hope you are feeling better today. I wonder if anyone else got sick, if so it could be food
poisoning :( I hope you were able to sleep well last night. Can you stay home and take it easy today?

Peggy, thank you for the missions. :)

Blondie, I never heard of whisps before either, so I had to look them up. LOL! They do look interesting. It would be healthier than other things you could snack on. But actually regular cheese can be out of refrigeration for a while too. :) Okay maybe not 3 hours but some. LOL! Around here I don't let cheese out that long without eating it. Hehe!

Kiddo and I went out for a bit and picked up Chinese for dinner. No, I hadn't seen Jan's post about getting Chinese, but I was seeing it on my Facebook history from a few years ago.

Susi the moon cheese is like whisps, another sort of dried or processed cheese. I like that it sort of tastes like cheese puffs without all the other ingredients. It was one of the better things I thought about bringing on the plane and to have as a snack instead of paying for a meal. :-)
I can understand Greg wanting to get back to his usual routine. I'm sure that will happen soon enough.

Jenn I'm glad you've got a good and reputable mechanic. Often, they're hard to find. Another plus is that you know what you're looking at.

Jan I'm sorry you're not feeling well after having the Chinese food and hope you feel better soon.

Zone 5 The Living Room

Zone 5: Mission #1 Monday

Dear Friends, Let's have a Fire Drill! Go get the hotspots cleared off in your Living Room and or Family Room! You know the piles that I am talking about. The ones that just grow and grow!! Put that fire out!Take 10 minutes and put things away where they belong and toss the rest.

Zone 5: Mission #2 Tuesday

Dear Friends, Let's have a detailed vacuuming session. This means to vacuum the room, making sure to get up against the baseboards and to get under the furniture. Please be careful that you don't hurt yourself trying to move furniture. If it is too difficult to get under the couch or chairs then just try to get as close to the base of the furniture as you can.

Zone 5: Mission #3 Wednesday

Dear Friends,Today we are going after the hidden clutter in these rooms. Take a look around you and see what is laying around that is really clutter but because you have become so used to it being there you don't see it as clutter. Have you purged those magazines and books lately? How about the videos, dvd's and cd's? Are they strewn in piles all over because they belong in these rooms you don't see them anymore? Your mission for today is to set your timer for 15 minutes and go after the "hidden" clutter in these rooms. You will be amazed at how much neater the rooms look when you tackle this. Do not get obsessed and take apart the whole room. This is about progress NOT perfection. Just tackle one thing at a time!

Zone 5: Mission #4 Thursday

Dear Friends: Back to the Living Room we go! One of my favorite missions for the living room is to go sofa and chair diving! This is where we start digging through the furniture and pluck out the cheerios and old socks. I am always amazed at how much stuff I can pull out of the couch in just one short month!

Zone 5: Mission #5 Friday

Dear Friends:Today is the last day of the Living Room Zone. Your mission for today is to place something pretty in the room that is just for you. I am thinking of some lovely flowers or a small bouquet that you can purchase for just a few dollars. Maybe you have a lovely arrangement or plant somewhere in your home that would be just perfect in your freshly decluttered living room!

The kids were pretty good and enjoyed their fishing craft. Had a quick board meeting then went with the group to eat Chinese. I ate mushrooms and green beans and the steak on the stick. After about 2 hours my stomach went south, seems it did not appreciate the Chinese at all. I rather feel like something the cat threw up.

One thing l like about this shop is that they actually take me back to the work area and show me the items that they're recommending. I could see the damage to the rotors and the fact that the brake pads were worn to nothing, and those two items were the bulk of the cost. Plus, at no charge, they took off all four tires, including removing each from the rim to inspect the rims and the interiors, and found nothing wrong on any of them with the exception of the damaged valve stem that I knew about.

Yeah, there are plenty of shops that take advantage of anyone that they think doesn't know their stuff. These two shops are good people. And I don't doubt that I give off a "dont eff with me" vibe as well. LOL

So now I'm home and vegging out for a while. I earned it. emoticon

Oops Peggy, but you had to have something to write down. :) At least you got a bit of a change with the ciabatta roll. :)

Blondie, I think I'll stick with colby. LOL! Greg is doing fine now the colotis is gone, at least for now. :) He has a follow up with our family doc tomorrow and then on Feb 4th he has one with the cardiologist. He's chompin' at the bit for tomorrow to get here so he can lift more than 10 pounds if he wants to. LOL! The things we don't do that we miss when we can't. LOL! I got a little of my cleaning done today too so I don't have too much to do tomorrow.

Jenn, I hate those sensors we have that too. But yikes on the valve stem being sheered off. That would be the first thing Greg would look at. You may not want to know how it happened. I'm thinking too I would get another opinion on the rest of the stuff, some places just say things like that, especially to women, just to get the extra money. I hope that's not the case, but you just never know.

Jan how did the day go? I'm thinking the kids had fun with the fishing game and you found some fun for them to wear themselves out some. :) Greg picked up some steaks at the grocery he was hungry for so I'll put them on the George Forman for supper with a salad, and he bought a blueberry pie for dessert. Just what I don't need but I sure don't want it to go to waste. LOL!

HUGS!

Stupid car. Stupid husband.

So we've had an issue with one tire and a slow leak. I was planning to bring it in yesterday but spaced out. Fortunately, we also have TPMS sensors so there's a light on the dash when it starts to say again. And with the recent weather, it's been every couple days.

I woke up a little before 9 to find that hubby wasn't home yet, which is unusual. I normally put my phone in airplane mode at night to save battery so I wouldn't have seen a message yet. Switched the phone off airplane, took my shower. While I was getting cleaned up, a couple texts came in from him. He was stranded at a gas station about 2 miles from the apartment and needed help with the tire. Ugh. Okay. So I called, Gave him an ETA, woke kiddo up to tell her what was going on so she wouldn't wake up alone, and started walking. (On the up side, I already met my daily step goal before 10 am.....)

I got to the gas station to find that the problem was NOT with the tire that's been saggy. He's got another one off, and I'm not sure what his problem is at this point. I check the air on the spare, and it's a little low but again the weather has been stupid. While I'm topping that up, I call the tire shop to make sure they have my size in stock. Got the spare on and took a look at the flat. No signs of damage but the valve stem is sheared off. I'm rather afraid to wonder how.

So I dropped him off at home, grabbed my yarn, and headed to the tire shop. I've been here about an hour so far. In addition to replacing the TPMS sensor on the one tire because it's all one piece, they also discovered that my front brakes are so low that the rotors are getting damaged, plus I also need some fluid flushes. It's going to be a nearly $800 job in total.

I swear cars know when we have a little bit of extra money set aside.

Jenn it sounds like you and kiddo had fun instead of you working or volunteering for something. Plus, you got your exercise in. :-)

Susi moon cheese is a snack made of only cheddar cheese and doesn't need refrigeration. I guess they process the cheese so it's like cheese puffs without other ingredients. You can't eat a lot of it, but I thought it would be something a bit healthier to bring with me on the trip. Even if it has a weird texture and taste a little weird. :-)
How is Greg feeling?

Jan, I'm glad you got some good sleep. Sounds like something I should be taking just for the sleep. :) I know the journal will be wonderful when you finish it. It's always worth the extra effort when you're doing something for someone else. :)

Blondie, what kind of cheese is moon cheese? I would automatically think Swiss. :) String cheese would be a good substitute if you can't find it. It was nice of Will and Maria to take you to Costco. :) I can imagine she is getting a little antsy now. I bet it was nice to have them at your house for a change. Cooking is nice sometimes rather than going out to eat. :)

Jenn, it still sounds like you had a fun day. At least it wasn't anything you had to deal with for a change just enjoy. :) I don't know how you keep going so much. If I did that I would be totally worn down.

Good morning Peggy! Church, bike, rolls for Jerry and yogurt and fruit for you? :)

Peggy I have books I've downloaded from Kindle and Book Bub on my tablet. I have books and magazines from the library as well. If I get tired of reading, I can crochet on the plane instead.

Susi Will and Maria came by this morning and we went to Costco. I was looking for peanuts and moon cheese to bring on the trip. I was able to get the nuts but not the moon cheese. Diane, Martin and the boys came over too. I made burgers and fries and now everyone just left.

Jan I'm sure the journal will be perfect when you're finished with it.

Afternoon ladies oh my where did the time go. I slept for 11 hours after taking the night time Musinex I was feeling so rough I took it. It always makes me sleep for a super long time and have a sleep hangover. I do not take it often because of hat and only when I do not have anything to do the next day. Working on the journal still and about to whip out the hot glue and finish the kids craft. I am still working on the pages for the journal. I think if it was for me it would be done but for someone else it is taking a lot longer to incorporate her likes. Have a great evening all.

Jenn, just in case they should put up a sign to watch what they put in the machines.Does seem strange that it's happening so much all of a sudden. Someone is not paying attention or doesn't care. :( It sure makes it rough on everyone else. I hope the storm wasn't as big as they said it would be. It will be nice for you just to stay home and relax anyway. Maybe you can have a jammie day today. :)

Thank you Blondie, I hope it will too. We've both had enough of the hospital for the year already. Greg is being good though and not doing anything he isn't supposed to and that makes it so much easier on me. :) He's has been feeling nervous and jittery, but we're sure it's because of his body getting use to the new meds he's on. Okay, you knew this would be coming again... when do you leave on your trip? I can't even keep track of my own appts let alone anyone else's. LOL! I hope you don't have a lot more to do on the apartment. I'm glad you have stuff to do to pass the time at the airport. Why so early? Customs?

Peggy, I'm glad you can leave the meetings early. :) I would too when they keep going and going or if they are arguing about something.

Jan, how about a hopscotch kind of game for the kids? :) That would surely wear me out. Hehe! Did you get your fishing game finished? We're supposed to get a wintry mix today turning to snow. Hopefully it won't be too much, I really do need to go to the grocery today.

Peggy the flight is 5 hours and 50 minutes but for international flights, you have to be to the airport 3 hours ahead of the flight. I have my tablet so I can read my books and my crocheting to keep me busy while waiting for the flight to board. :-)

Jenn I'm glad someone ran your laundry and hope you can get the rest of it done quickly. As I mentioned before, I don't think I'd have the patience to go to the laundromat anymore. :-)

The washer is fixed and they did run my load. So I got that into the dryer as soon as I got home and started another load while I still had access. That'll give kiddo and I each enough clean laundry to last a couple days. We'll see what tomorrow's weather is going to look like before I decide on how to handle the rest.

I have dinner in the oven, and I'm spending the rest of the night with my yarn and my dragon game. :D

Jenn hopefully other than doing laundry, you'll have a quiet and peaceful weekend.

Maureen and I worked on the apartment and then went to Walmart for snacks for the trip to Iceland. They don't feed you on the flight anymore so we got snacks in case we get hungry. The apartment isn't completely cleaned out so we'll go back on Monday.

My suspicion on the laundry equipment is that someone is using slugs/washers or tokens from somewhere else. Maybe deliberately trying to cheat, maybe just not paying attention. I know that when I get quarters from the car wash or from one laundromat, they mix tokens in with the payout in an attempt to deter people from using them as a bank and taking "their" quarters elsewhere. And occasionally I won't catch all the tokens - I keep a pouch for the tokens in my glove box so I can go back there to clean the car - and one will end up in the laundry pouch instead. So I can definitely see it happening for other people. And the tokens are just a tiny bit larger, so they would definitely jam in the slot. Mine last night was weird, though, because it took the coins but wouldn't complete.

Big storm coming in tonight, which means I'm probably not going to the laundromat as planned. I don't want to haul clean laundry through rain and snow, and there's a good chance I won't get a nearby parking space if I go out.

Plus it was another heavy moving and organizing day at work. I'm already over 9,000 steps and it's only 5:00. I've earned my rest, even if it means not having clean clothes for tomorrow LOL.

Blondie, it's been raining out all day here so far but at least it wasn't cold. Only thing is we were in the ER again. :( Greg started passing blood this morning, but he IS okay. :) Turns out his colitis reared it's ugly head again after about 20 years. He is fine and napping right now Kind of scared us for a bit there though. :( Yep, I would have them wake me in the middle of the night anyway just to see them at night too. Hehe! It's great they have a currency exchange app! :) Don't wear yourself out on the apartment.

Peggy I hope the meeting wasn't too bad. I put the store off till tomorrow. :)

Jan, you always come up with the neatest games for the kids. :) I like the idea of the running ones the best to cut their energy level a bit. :) What else did you do today?

Hi Jenn, glad it's Friday for you.

HUGS!

Morning all! It is sunny and to get to 50 today so I won’t complain. I do have to go to Walmart later, I need magnets and paper clips to finish the craft for the kids Sunday School lesson. We are doing Jesus makes fisher’s of men story. I make little poles out of little dowels and string and will put the magnet on the bottom of the string. I drew and cut out people that the paper clips will go on so they can fish for men. I am will have to come up with another game or something maybe a running or hoping game to wear some of the energy off.

Good morning. We're back from Bagel King and heading back out for a board meeting. I'm just going to see what's going on and I might just leave early.

Blondie that sounds like an exciting trip.

Jenn I hope they get the machines fixed soon. It must be a real pain.

Susi it might be good to get out to the store and just look up and down the aisles.

Jan are you getting a day of rest today?

Jan it's been so cold here, in Virginia, that Iceland has been warmer. LOL It's only supposed to be in the 30's but the wind and rain may make the temperatures really feel bad. Hopefully, I'm prepared.

Jenn maybe management will get so tired of fixing the machines that they'll buy new ones. I would hate to keep having that much trouble with them. I hope they get them fixed so you can finally get your laundry done.
I'm glad your back is feeling better.

Susi the hotels out of Reykjavik will, if you request it, wake you up in the middle of the night to see the Northern Lights. I hope I it will be clear enough that I don't need to be wakened in the middle of the night. If I don't see the lights while I'm awake, I will ask them to wake me.

I can't believe it's already after 8:00. I've been looking up things about Iceland, downloading a currency exchange app and just playing around. Maureen and I have another apartment to deal with today. We have to be there at 10:00 and hopefully we'll get it all emptied today.

Blondie, it won't be long till your trip now! :) I do hope you get to see the Northern Lights. I've seen pictures and they are so beautiful! :) I know you will love it! :) I'm not sure what set Greg off yesterday but he was much better last night. He is grateful he realized what was happening early enough to take care of it. Me too!! :)

Jan, Greg did take about an hour nap and after supper he wasn't grumpy, Could be he was just tired and taking it out on me. :) And that's okay we all do it. :) What we go through with any surgery is it takes a LOT out of a person. I just hope he can relax today. I need to go to the grocery and pick up a few things and he'll probably argue to go along.

Jenn, those washers and dryers sound like they are old and getting worn out. :( It sure is strange that jam is happening so much, something it surely up with that. I hope they fix it quickly. I'm so glad your back is feeling better. I always say what makes the difference why as long as it is. :) I hope it stays better now. Ick on the snow! :(

Good morning Peggy! Have a wonderful day today! :)

UGH!!!!! The coin slide on the washer is jammed again!!! I put my coins in, pushed in the slide, and it won't come back out so it won't start the cycle. So I sent yet another service request in, and I left the dirty clothes in there in the hopes that when they come out to unjam it, they'll also run the cycle for me. Now, I did get two emails this morning at just after 7 am that they'd fixed yesterday's dryer jam, so hopefully they'll come that early tomorrow as well.

My back has been feeling much better today. Whether it was the meds or the barometric pressure, I have no idea. And yes, the pressure has plummeted over the last couple days, and it's been snowing most of today.

Blondie I stand corrected lol. I was so worried about you in the cold and ice and you get scenery. Sounds a whole lot better, lol.

Susi, maybe Greg will get god rest tonight and be better tomorrow.

Jan Iceland is not the land of ice. Greenland is mostly ice, Iceland is mostly green. LOL

Susi Greg is probably mad that he had the heart attack. Men get grumpy when they find a weakness in them selves. Silly men. :-)

The orientation was great. I'm so excited to get to Iceland. I can hardly wait.

Peggy, it's like the first attack he had way back. He didn't want to go to rehab and they told him if he ever had another one his insurance wouldn't cover it. He didn't drive. :) I'm glad you had the Ninja to grind the beans. Probably better then the regular grinder anyway. :) Congratulations on the loss. :)

Blondie, he was exhausted, didn't sleep well last night cause the guy they put in his room was complaining and had the tv on all night. Even so, he was not wanting to nap so he was going around doing little things, nothing he wasn't supposed to but he got grumpy. I think only one person would take care of us, we have no one else. :( I'm glad Maria is doing okay. Good thing she is going to the doc so much now, :) How did the orientation go?

Jan, he's still a grump grump. *sigh* Not sure what brought that on either. I didn't do anything to make him that way. Probably because he's tired and won't nap. Right now he's watching tv so maybe that will keep him from grumping anymore. :) I will be careful in the morning. :) Easy burgers tonight for supper. :)

Jenn, how is your back today?

Susi how is grump grump getting along. Such a stubborn man remind him of all our duct tape and we will use it. I am glad you got some rest and eating well. You be careful getting out to get your paper tomorrow if it still so cold.

Peggy good for on the loss. So glad the ninja works perfectly.

Blondie are you getting excited about the trip now? So close now and you will be flying off to the land of ice.

Jenn bless your heart is your back better toda?
