The guideline that I've heard is to be measured 4-6months after weaning and every 6-8 months during slow, sustained weight loss process. But I think it depends on every woman's body.

If your bras are just a 'tick' loose right now, I'd wait another four weeks and reevaluate. I really need new bras but the nursing bras in the US are so much better than the ones that we have in Germany....and I'm hesitating. When my new nursling stabilizes her intake pattern a little more (maybe after the 3 month growth spurt just around the corner), I will get measured again and buy a new bra or two. Otherwise, I'm going to ride it out.

I'm interested in this too!! I just had my son almost 4 months ago, so it'll (hopefully) be a LONG time until I really need ot figure this out, but I'm curious. I breastfed my daughter for 17 months, but towards the end it really didn't feel like I had much more "shrinking" to do, yet I wasn't even close to fitting in my pre-pregnancy bras!! I then got pregnant before she weaned, so I have no clue what my boobs would have enentually done. I hear so many people say that they went back to pre-pregnancy size, but I really didn't feel like I was going to!

Now with my second, I feel like I'm even bigger this time. I have a bunch of nice VS bras and I'm not sure if I should keep them or sell them! They're expensive bras, so I'd hate to get rid of them only to be back in that size, but I hate keep 'stuff' that I'll never use again! :)

My educated guess is that there is no one answer for everyone! Everybody's body is different, but I just hate waiting to know what to do with those bras. Haha!

I'm a huge breastfeeding advocate and have loved being a breastfeeding mom. My 13.5 month old daughter just recently self-weaned. She was ready, but it was quicker than I had planned on. I'm sad but surviving.

Anyways, I'm running into a bra dilemma. I've been wearing my nursing bras still. They fit perfectly until the last week or so. They're a touch loose now that my breasts are shrinking again. I busted out a non-nursing bra and it's a bit small. So I'm debating what to do.

I should probably go for a fitting, but when is the best time? Everything is in huge flux with 2 factors: the recent weaning and the ongoing weight loss. Should I just go get fitted and just buy one bra at a time until things settle and stabilize? Should I wait a bit longer?

What would you do?
