Breastfeed by lying on your side. It is much easier on your back. Put an ottoman in front of you to rest drinks on and provide an extra barrier for the baby's protection. Also, see an osteopath.

I can sympathize. I love my breastfeeding pillow you can clip it around your waist and it has back support. It is called my Brest Friend.

super important: shoulder rolls, backwards and forwards, and stretching up and around. Also, could you move your chair into your living room?
if not, I lay down with my little girl pretty often. I put down layers of blankets on the floor and then some pillows for my head and between my knees and make it comfy for us both. Great way to sneak in a nap too ;)

Hey breastfeeding moms! I'm sure a lot of you can sympathize with how much time I spend on the couch breastfeeding my 3.5 month old. It feels like that's where I spend all my time, but I'd rather sit there and be able to watch something on TV than sit in the nursing chair in her bedroom which is more supportive for my back. My lower back and neck/shoulders are killing me. Anyone have any suggestions for how to alleviate this?
