Catching up on everyone's news. Congrats on the baby news! Theme yoga sounds like fun. A walk in the desert! I did that once many years ago when I visited Tucson, transforming!

You inspire me to try new forms of yoga and meditation.
Kay, 1400 days of headspace is so amazing.

Zoom yoga yesterday and today may 24 practices for this month.
Im behind 6 miles on my monthly walking goal, but I will have to modify after more than a week in San Diego quarantined with the 2 yr. old. (Not a sacrifice!!!)

Meditation every day this month!

Also how nice to have theme Yoga practices like the Hawaiian one, great fun!

YESTANGO also CONGRATULATIONS for receiving the loan, so you can continuing with your job, allowing paying the people who depend on you. Hope the kitchen table was moved and you have your space for your Yoga practice!

KAYOTIC how nice to visit the desert enjoying the blooming. CONGRATULATIONS for the daily Yoga practice and 1400 days of Headspace.


Last Sunday I started a Meditation Inmersion via zoom with The Atrium, interesting information about Neuroplasticity of the brain and how yoga and meditation help to modify pathways in the brain.

7 more yoga and meditation practices on April 22, 23, 24,26, 27, 28 and 29, Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, Sleep Yoga, Morning Yoga, Restorative and Vinyasa, respectively, either zoom classes, Adriene or my own sequence, 15-60 min and Chopra Meditation and since April 26 Guided Meditation with Madona. 18-20 min, 17/15

Yep, there are silver linings, I took my walk in the desert yesterday and there were blooms all around, it's really pretty this time of year!

Yoga this morning was tension relieving. A 21 year old young lady with Downs Syndrome joins us once in a while. She is so fun and inspirational. He mom does such a good job keeping her involved in life.
This afternoon Im joining my other instructor for a practice focused on the heart chakra. We will follow up with some journal prompts that we will share on Friday. (20 & 21 out of 20 for my intention) Quarantine is good for yoga practices. Always looking for the silver linings!!!

Today was Hawaiian day for our Zoom yoga. Lots of hip poses and lots of hula. We all wore Hawaiian garb. It was really fun. (19 of 20)

I'm back to my regular morning routine of meditation and prayer.

I think I will get close to my walking miles. l

Hi All,
I'm glad that you have received the small business loan, Yestanto. I'm sure the stress has been high.

I'm back home and baby and family are doing well. It's always busy with a new baby.
I re-joined my Zoom yoga group this morning. Our instructor is trying "theme" yoga practices. Today was dress up day. So everyone had sparkly clothes, jewelry, and head wear. It was fun with lots of free and spontaneous moving. (18 of 10 for my intention) Tomorrow is Hawaiian Day.

My meditation and prayer was whenever I had a few minutes of quiet while watching my grandson. He just turned 2 a few weeks ago so he has little tolerance for distractions from electronic devices or any other activity that takes attention away. But, quick meditations and breathing were so helpful throughout the past week. I'm back on track now......every morning before I get up.

I'm a bit behind on my walking miles, but I'll catch up.

Thank you again for all the support. It is nice to be back home. I missed my husband.

I have been doing what I can. It has been very crazy. trying to keep my business afloat, bring back our teaching artists and other staffers onto payroll. we just got an SBA Loan - Payroll Protection Program so I can breathe a little easier. lots of new grants to write.

I lost count, but did not fall entirely off the wagon.
I can't wait till my husband and I move the kitchen table to re-create my yoga studio again. hopefully today. It is important to have a good space.

It is a beautiful day! enjoy!!!

That's wonderful that you can spend some time with your son and DIL and help them out!

And that yoga keeps you flexible, it's great that way, isn't it?

I did today's yoga in the backyard this morning after my CrossFit workout (also in the backyard), it was nice enough out to get out and do that. I'm glad I didn't wait until this afternoon, the wind picked up and put quite a chill in the air!

Having stayed completely isolated since the beginning of stay at home orders in CA except for a few solo walks along our wash, I was able to come down to San Diego yesterday to help my oldest son and dil with my 2 yr. old grandson while they await the birth of my little granddaughter. She was due today but they will induce on Monday if she isnt here. I am not getting in any formal yoga practices but Im finding, as always, that yoga makes me so flexible and strong for playing and caring for my grandson (and all my grandkids). Ill let you know when she arrives, and be back as soon as I can.

I'm up to 14 days of yoga, 16 days of meditation, I took today off work, and will take the next 4 Thursday's as well, turns out I maxed out my vacation time, so I'm trying to burn off a few days. I feel so fortunate to still be working and to have this "problem" when so many others have it so much worse!

Hope you are all staying safe and sane, I know my yoga and meditation practices sure help my physical and mental states!

Hi all! That is so cool doing yoga on Zoom and Facebook.

Last Sunday, I tuned into a brewery in Fort Lauderdale that does beer yoga on Sundays. They've been live-streaming their classes on Instagram due to Covid. I went there with my daughter and SIL when they lived down there a couple years ago. So it was fun to "revisit". Oh and you don't have to drink beer.

I'm still following Yoga With Adriene's Nurture calendar for April. Today was Yoga For Connection. At one point she had us lying on our back, pull our knees into our chest, nose to knees which makes me uncomfortable to be scrunched up like that.

As I was about to come out of it, she said "how do you find a sense of ease when you are in a tight position". a light bulb came on for me, I relaxed my face, eased my lower back to the mat and breathed. I felt a bit transformed.

Zoom yoga yesterday (15 of 20)
Walking with mask along our wash 1.5 miles.

Today Zoom yoga focused on hip strength and flexibility. (16 of 20)
This afternoon our instructor is putting together a foam roller practice. (17 of 20)

Meditation every morning 5-10 minutes minimum is invaluable for my day.

I hope everyone here in the US and around the world is staying healthy and well.

Zoom yoga is cool because some of my fellow yogis are inviting friends to join. We have new yogis from Mexico, Canada, and Greece. (15 of 20)

Only walked a mile before it started raining. It’s cold here for So Cal. But no complaints from me. The heat will come soon enough!

Namaste everyone.
My Zoom yoga this morning was focused on shoulders, arms, and upper body flexibility. (13 of 20)
I walked 3 miles today in the beautiful sunny weather after the rain (and snow in our local mountains). I use our washes to walk but when I did run into other walkers we all had face masks and walked on opposite sides of the wash, waving encouragingly.

Zoom yoga this morning focuses on legs, flexibility and strength. Ooooph! I just got up off the couch and felt the work! (12 of 20)
I walked around the house all day forcing myself to get in steps while unloading and sanitizing groceries delivered by Instacart- ie one item at a time taken to the kitchen from the “quarantine/sanitation area....... The rain may stop tomorrow so I can walk outside.
I got in lots of steps though.

I love twists...

I'm up to 10 days of meditation, 9 days of yoga, and got in a nice 2 mile hike today, it's warm and sunny for the first day in a long time!

The zoom yoga this morning focused on twists (11of 20).
Meditation every morning and any other time during the day when worry and anxiety appear.
Lots of rain has slowed my walking goal. But love the rain!

Today I did a practice (8 of 20) but had to keep interacting with my Instacart shopper who was darling and kept apologizing for interrupting my practice. Like it was her fault.
I’m so grateful for our brave service workers. I tipped her very well and gave her a thank you note.

Our Zoom practice today was focused on various forms of crescent pose. (4 of 20)

I meditated on Zoom with another instructor from my former studio. She then had us (about 12 of us) go over some writing prompts that she "assigned" last Wednesday after the yoga practice she led on grounding in this time of uncertainty. It was so good to sit with like minded friends and share our thoughts.

Healthy April to all!
My intentions are:
20 yoga practices on Zoom or DoYouYoga.
Daily meditation and prayer.
50 miles walking

Today I did 2 Zoom practices with my current instructor and a favorite instructor from my former studio. So cool to see everyone. (2 of 20)
Meditation this morning focused on staying grounded.
I just took a nice 2 mile walk enjoying the swarms of painted lady butterflies migrating north from Mexico. They fly as far north as they can go until their fat stores run out and then mate.
