I eat a healthy meal before I go to the feed. One that is right for the eating program I'm on; then when I get to the feed I take small amounts of the healthiest items offered. That way I haven't insulted anyone; or if it's pot luck I take something I know I can eat. And I try to talk more than I eat. I don't always succeed but when I fail I get back on my eating program at the next meal.

Hello! I'm new to this group. Although I have signed up for SparkPeople before I wanted to be more active this time around. I currently live on the Pine Ridge reservation in SD. Culturally there are always feeds for many events that I attend. Does anyone have any tips as to how they deal with the "feed" setting especially when the food choices are usually not as healthy as one would like? Would appreciate any input.
