So I've spent a little time looking at teams here on SP. I went to the COMMUNITY tab, then to "SparkTeams" In the search criteria on that page I typed in "buddy". I found 2 teams with actively searching for buddy members.
The first team is "Find a buddy! Spark Team" - http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/groups_

That looks like a good, active group!
The second team I found was "I want a buddy! Spark Team" -

That team doesn't seem to be too active, but there are individuals looking for a buddy to help with that motivation factor.
So, GET INSPIRED! Get a buddy emoticon
Again, you can also join teams that are actively doing challenges - that's also found under the COMMUNITY tab, then go to CHALLENGE CENTRAL -

That page is the "Official SP Challenges" - challenges that the creators of SP came up with. To the right of that in the blue field are challenges that are being created by SP members. Look for a team that you "fit in" with - whether you're a stay at home mom or a career woman (OR DAD/MAN!!!!) there are teams that WILL work for/with you.
Find you a team and get yourself motivated! emoticon

After my "HOWDY" email to the team I got a LOT of replies (HI EVERYONE!) and a few questions. The biggest question is:
"I am struggling to get the weight off again. How do I get help from others?"
My answer is find an active team! When I got in my first "slump" and needed that outside encouragement I found a group that had weekly challenges and (surprise!) it worked for me, and I'm not typically the kind of person who needs that type of motivation, for I believe that motivation comes from within. That's why it was a surprise to me that it worked!
Because I haven't been "active" on the different teams, I can not suggest a specific one. If "you" are active here on SP, and are a member of a team that really keeps you motivated, please share that group so others can get that same encouragement emoticon
Although I'd like to reply to each and every email individually, I just don't have the time to do so. When this team first started, I was the sole team leader and I was getting 200 emails an HOUR requesting help and support. I enlisted the help of my sister, Bear14GSB, to be a co-leader and help me with getting the team started.
We created many topics with common "Questions And Answers" and I still think those are the best resources to read through.
Sometimes it's good to look through the past challenges and challenge yourself. Make a spreadsheet (or write it in a notebook) of the goals and challenge yourself to meet or beat those challenges. In the end it's not about competing with others to get "points" or a "prize" - it's about you doing one more sit-up or drinking one more cup of water than you did the week before.
And I find I'm rambling! HAHA! To get back to the point: If you are an ACTIVE SP user, please share the teams you are currently a member of. Thank you!!!!
