For those moments that occur once in a while, as a former Boy Scout seeking to always be prepared I present to you a resource I found through my virtual kitchen website links:
Meatloaf for 1000 Growlie eaters. Please personalize prior to sharing this recipe.

350 lb. ground beef
10 lb. fresh chopped green
onions
10 lb. ground celery
3 doz. eggs
5 lb. chopped green peppers
4 (No. 10) cans (12 qt.)
tomato puree
12 to 15 lb. bread crumbs
3 c. salt
6 to 8 oz. pepper
1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
---

Gently mix all ingredients in 4 even batches (at least!).
Divide into approximately 70 loaf pans or pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours with a watchful eye.
Makes 1,000 servings. Yes, you read that right.

I'm not even near perfect, but I know someone who is.

Lemon cake... umm

I simply use Crock-Pots as I am prone to catching appliances, such as the oven/stove and microwave on fire.

As for chocolate covered pretzel rods, the salty and the sweet. Right?

OK... onto a recipe...

Crock-Pot Dump Cake

2 sticks of butter
1 can of pie filling
1 box of cake mix

Pour pie filling into the Crock-Pot.
On top of the pie filling, pour cake mix.
Place 2 sticks of butter on top of cake mix.

Cook on HIGH 3 to 3 1/2 hours.

Serve.

Nice to have with ice cream!

I'm not much for baked goods and sweets. I am a crackers kind of girl! Anyhow, when I do eat a sweet is probably a small piece of a small lemon or chocolate cake! I used to bake more but not so much any longer. I pick up a small cake or sweet breads from the grocery or bakery.

You can also melt chocolate on the stove which is really easy with a pot of gently boiling water and a bowl on top. I use chocolate molds and melt it in the microwave which is easy as well.

Here is my no-stress method for making Chocolate Covered Pretzels.

Melt chocolate in a Crock-Pot.
Dip pretzels rods in the melted chocolate.
Lay pretzel rods on parchment paper lined cookie sheet.
Place in fridge.

Voila!

A few Christmas' ago, I attempted to make chocolate covered pretzels in the microwave and caught the microwave on fire. Crock-Pots are so much safer with this recipe. OK?
