Thankfully chocolate doesn't "call my name" - however, there are foods that seem to call to me. I try hard to not have those foods within easy access.

Don't feel so badly about eating those three cookies. I assume you are new to weight dropping here at SP, just know that there will be times you stumble, but as you follow your program it becomes easier to resist those temptations.

My prayer for you is that you get to the stage in your program where chocolate no longer has a hold on you & that you reach the place of recovery where you no longer need to ask your husband not to purchase & bring into your home those foods that tempt you.

This is doable! emoticon

Be blessed!

Chocolate is a temptation for me as well!

i love eating dark chocolate about 80% cacao because it is said to be healthy. so after 2 dark pieces i feel so good. i do not listen to the part of me that is telling me to stop fooling myself. maybe i should start listening to that part of me?

Good luck, I've been fighting it for over 20 years, haha....I do have better control, though--I do best if I eat a small amount of dark choc after a meal...I know I'm flirting with disaster if I eat it in pastry form(cakes, cookies)--I can eat it in small portions if I eat it in pie form...I can eat some candy bars in moderation, others I avoid....monthly, I eat 1 restaurant dessert that is chocolate that I love(I usually go by myself & just eat dessert, haha, I don't want anyone distracting me from my Moment)--this helps me to not feel deprived & I'm happy to eat veggie salad for one of my main meals that day so I don't get a weight gain from my monthly splurge(it's never under 500 calories, usually around 1,000)....I do well with sugar free choc pudding cups...I still eat it about once every 3 days in some form--just take notes on your behavior around choc & see how you handle it best...

I don't have any advice. If it is a temptation, I would avoid it.

There are two options regarding committment - your either IN or your OUT. There is no such thing as life in-between.

A person who wants something will find a way..
A person who doesn't will find an excuse...

Better to eat just a little of what you crave or you will finally binge on it. There is no such thing asd bad food just bad portions and some foods are better for you than others.
Hope you feel better soon.
