Friday:

My son, Gordon, has moved back to Oregon from Baltimore and is temporarily staying with us - here in our tiny apartment. What a challenge! Our living room is filled with all his "stuff" - until he finds a place of his own. Will be difficult for him - he has been out of work for about 3 months and did not receive all of this unemployment for Maryland. They are still "processing" his application. But, he is working a bit right now - will see if this turns into a permanent position.

Sunday

Well..........it is cool and breezy this morning.

we have goats! The city brings them in each spring to clear the banks of the Umatilla River that flows thru our town. They are below us now - but have gathered under the trees below to get out of the cold. Had planned to take a picture but can't see them right now. Perhaps later.

Will be mostly doing Bible study and perhaps some beading today.

REDSHOE,
I have not yet visited the cemetery, but do plan to soon. Am sure my daughter, Kathi, would love to go with me.

Barb, I used to live in Milton Freewater, so I know exactly where you are talking about! I did get the door painted. It's so nice to be done with that project! It really is lovely to walk in the cemetery. It is so pretty this time of year. I hope you got the chance to go visit!

REDSHOE,

We have a beautiful cemetery here in Pendleton - and I have a son who is buried there. Had not thought of going there to take a walk. Have not visited his gravesite fpr a while - so my just do that this weekend.

I have been doing more quilting and knitting during this isolation time - but sure do miss meeting with my friend, Elaine. We do visit on the phone most every day = but it just is not the same. I miss her sweet smiley face!!

Painting is all but done! emoticon I have a door. Yup, one door left to paint. I just couldn't do it this weekend. I was sooooo tired. I am happy to be under a stay at home order where I'm at with plenty of park to roam and enjoy. (We live at the cemetery where I work, so we have 40 acres to enjoy.) Have a lovely week. I can hardly believe we are headed into May already! Time really does fly!

Well, the days are passing - slowly. It is warming up some so have been outside - cleaning out the flower beds. Just wish I had some plants to put out. But, do have a few perennials that will be coming up.

Eric has brought our groceries and have an order coming from Schwans. So will be well stocked for a while. Now to get some flour so I can do some baking.

Almost finished with a shawl I am knitting - and am making some masks for my grand-daughters. They are still working at StarBucks and will need them. My Daughter is a dialysis nurse, so is still working. More hours than she wants, so is rather stressed right now. Her hubbie, Eric, is on unemployment so is working on his :"honey do" list.

Hope everyone is doing OK with these uncertain times. But, we knot God is in control. And all will work out in time!!

The sun is shining today! That makes me happy! emoticon I am still working, as I work at an essential business. I've been enjoying our weather here, walking around work and enjoying a bbq in the evenings. My dog is certainly enjoying the numerous walks we go on during the daylight hours. I've also been painting the interior of our small apartment. That, even though it's small, is quite an undertaking! I've gotten one room done so far, and getting the kitchen area ready for next weekend. Who knew such a small area would take so much paint and time! emoticon

My son-in-law, Eric, is picking up a few things for us at Safeway today - we are out of milk. If he brings 3 gal. we will freeze some. He is such an angel for us. Love that guy.

Will be knitting more today and thinking about placing an order at knitpicks.com for an order of Comfy yarn for a baby blanket. Found a pattern that would be fun to knit.

I keep wanting to get outside and do a bit of weeding in our small flower beds, but it is still a bit chilly. But I am totally enjoying the daffodils that I can see thru the back window.

Am sure everyone will be glad when we can go back to :"normal"!!

Another week almost gone. And now our governor has passed a resolution (guess that is what to call it) that the strict isolation is to be until September. Wonder where she got that idea??

But, I am happily knitting and sewing on a quilt for my bed. And started a jigsaw puzzle of teddy bears raiding the kitchen. Looks like so much fun!! Maybe I will just join them.

Our Schwans order came and now our little freezer is full. We will have plenty to eat for a while.

I did not find that "to-do" list yesterday so did not get much done. So have started another list - and first is to vacuum the living room.

It is bright and sunny out this morning - still a bit chilly but will get out and do a bit of clean-up in the flower beds. Our daffodils are so cheerful and festive. They were not too happy the couple of days we had a bit of snow.

I did get to the grocery store and picked up some meat and other items.
Now, my daughter, who is a nurse, said I am not to go out again - until?????
Her husband is doing their shopping and she said he would do mine too,

I do have a "stock pile' of yarn and fabric so should get some of that used up.
Oh, but I have more yarn coming from knitpicks.com.

Fun days at home!!

We have been having "snow showers" the past couple of days. It is sticking mostly on the grass areas. I do need to get to the grocery store some time soon - need some veggies and a bit more meat. Wonder what I will find - with all the hoarding.

But I am getting lots of knitting done - and have started a scrap quilt - fun!!

This is the second week of the "crud" at our home.
But, I think we are on the mend.
Been mostly sleeping which is the best "medicine".

And, our microwave died last night - so will try to get out sometime this weekend to pick up another.

Since I don't have access to a machine I need for an exercise in today's workout I asked my coach what alternative one I can do so I have an idea. In my workout I need an assisted dip press down machine but don't have one so will take an exercise band and stretch it across the bottom rung of a squat rack.
