I do better when I post my daily focus here - and have not posted the past few days ---
so, have not been doing so good.

But, I do have an excuse - we have had a couple of challenging events in our family -
and i have been doing lots of processing.

So need to get back on the :"band wagon"!

Today;s focus: some major cleaning in our dining area.

Today - Saturday

Have been in mostly - cleaning and doing some gardening.

Did get to the grocery store Wednesday - can't believe how much the total bill was -
just guess that is a sign of the times.

Cool and breezy this morning but supposed ot clear off and be sunny later.

Today I want to get out my beads and start making a few things for Christmas. Have not done any beading for quite a while. May just need to visit the local bead shop - she always has a few items on display that inspire me.

Today is my son, Geoff's, birthday -
And of course he wants angel food cake and strawberries.
Strawberries do give him migraines - however, he did find that if he eats them just one day he does not get one.
So,, on his birthday in May and around Christmas time we have his angel food cake and strawberries.

It has warmed up here in Pendleton = after quite the thunder storm last night. Really close and bright and noisy!! And I was having such a fun dream!!

Finally got a haricut yesterday - boy, did i need it! Rose is great - quick and very good! And love visiting with her.

Today will be meeting Elaine at the park - did see her briefly yesterday. Stopped by her home when I was out and she gave me a pot with Hen and Chicks. Love it.

Our knitting group will be meeting Fridays and a local park. Will be so glad to see their smiley faces and catch up with their latest.

Oh my, how quickly the days are passing. Have been out a couple of times - and will be glad when our knitting group can begin meeting agaIn - such a great group of gals. Miss them so.

It is still cooler here in Pendleton, but looks like it may warm up some later this week. Have done some weeding and planted some Creeping Charlie out front. But, want to add some petunias and begonias.

Will be watching Brett Meadow on line this morning - and Ben Courson of Applegate Christian Fellowship. Two of my favorites. Then will get outside to clean off the patio. Have some lettuce and want to see if it has grown enough to add some to my salad.

Have a Super Sunday!!

Today am going grocery shopping - have not been in about 6 weeks.
Thankfully, my son-in-law, Eric, has done our shopping for us -
and he has done a terrific job. Except that my daughter would not let us pay for the groceries.
Will be an adventure - I am sure!!

Overcast again this morning - and looks like more rain.
So will get more quilting done - really need to get at least one quilt finished.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!!

I did get part of my flowers planted yesterday - before it started raining.
And it sprinkled most of the afternoon.

This morning was bright and sunny - and thought about planting the rest of my plants.
However, the clouds have returned - so looks like another rainy day.

Another good day to do more quilting.
And some cleaning in the dining room - this is where i set up my ironing board.

And in the living room - where i set up the card table to cut the pieces for my quilt.

So off to the kitchen to put away dishes and to sweep and mop!

Well, yesterday was a lost day - did not get much done and the plants are still sitting on the kitchen counter. Really need to get them planted today ----
except that it is overcast and much cooler out. Will see what the afternoon brings.

Still working on my quilt - such fun. Am hand piecing the blocks - all very scrappy.

Will bet over to my daughter;s - have a dvd series to take for them to watch.
Firefly and Serenity. A good series - cowboys in outer space.

Have a list of things to accomplish in each room today.
Will see just how much I will actually get done.

Think I will start in the kitchen -
Last night's dinner dishes - am out of dishwasher soap so will do by hand.
(I do love washing dishes by hand)

Then the living room - and there will tackle all the clutter.
Am sewing on a quilt so have the card table set up for cutting the pieces.

Then ?????

Well, today I finally got to BiMart - picked up my meds and a couple of plants - and a few other items. So tomorrow will be planting and doing a bit more weeding in front. Also, got a picture of the irises i have - am surprised that they actually grew. They did not do much last year.

The price of meat has risen quite a bit - now am not sure what to buy. My son-in-law is doing most of my grocery shopping - and he and my daughter will not let me pay for all Eric picks up for us. So am trying to be careful what I order.

I did get a bit more cleaning done in the kitchen - and want to defrost our freezer before an order comes from Schwans next Monday.

Well, our governor has "shut down" us for another month. Not sure just what that means, but not too happy about it. I am so ready to get out and about!!

Did some weeding in front yesterday - more to do today. And then to BiMart for a few plants - if there are any to be had. Will see!!

Working on a couple of quilts for my bed. Fun going thru the fabric that I have on hand. Not so much, but some lovely colors.

Have a good weekend. Will be going over to my daughter's to pick up some eggs.

Friday:

Warming up today - into the 70s - YEAH!! Need to do some serious weeding.
And a couple of errands - pick up book at library and meds at BiMart.

Talked to friend, Elaine, yesterday. Her husband has been out of town for a few daya and will be returning today. So that makes her happy. Will be so glad when we can get back to the donut shop for our chats and our Bible studies. Had been over a month - and that is way too long.

Have a bless month of May. Wonder that this month will bring??

Did some cleaning in the bathroom this morning and have the dishwasher going now.

Have some hamburger laid out to make a meatloaf for dinner - with tater tots.
Love letover meatloaf for sandwiches.

And more weeding outside. I would love to have a half=barrel for out back - for some veggies. My daughter had a garden last year - just hope she does again this year.

Today's Plans:

Some weeding in front of apartment - it really needs to be done.

Somewhere I saw this list of 4 things to do every day - and they are so helpful to me - just keeps me going for the day:
1. Make bed.
2. Do the dishes.
3. Take out the trash.
4. Check the fridge. I think this is just to be sure you have everything for dinner this evening.

Am making headway on my quilt - this is going to be a fun one for my bed.

No plans for today - except to watch Brett Meador at atheycreek.com.
He is now teaching in the book of Isaiah - so good!

And will continue sewing on my quilt - did get some blocks put together yesterday. Now to decide just how to put them together.
And need to wind that yarn into a ball. Did find a scarf pattern to use.

Have a blessed Sunday!

Well, I did not go grocery shopping yesterday! My son did not think it was a good idea - so sent my list to Eric, my son-in-law. He is totally my hero!!!

But, i did go to the library for a couple of books. They have a curbside service and bring the books out to your car and place them on the hood.

Overcast this morning - will be doing more sewing on my quilt and will look for a knit pattern for the yarn I just received from knitpicks.com. Perhaps a pair of socks or a scarf.

I am watching lBlack List again. We have the dvds - not sure how many seasons, but enough for a while.

I am going grocery shopping today! My son-in=law has been doing our shopping and my daughter will not let me pay for it. So enough is enough, I say!!
Will be good to get out a bit - am so tired of being "cooped" up the past month
even tho I have been busy sewing and cooking and cleaning.

Keep safe, all!

Sent a grocery list to Eric, my son-in-law. He is still doing my grocery shopping - my son and daughter will not let me out - yet. But am thinking next will I am going to escape this apartment and go to the store!!

Today's focus:

1. Water plants - more weeding.

2. Declutter some in the living room - it is getting out of hand. Now, how did that happen. Guess I was just too busy hand-sewing on my quilt.

3. Do a bit of cleaning in the bathroom. That room too has been neglected.

Todays focus was on gardening.

We put in some new plants last Saturday and then we got some woodchips so today I most of the woodchip around the new plants to stop the soil from drying out and help prevent weeds. When we went to get the plants I made sure they were all bee friendly as I like seeing bees around my gardens.

SPECIFIC: Drink 6-8 glasses of water, walk every morning, journal food intake.
MEASURABLE: journal water and food intake every day. Write down fitness minutes after every walk.
ATTAINABLE: I will gradually start walking faster and further each week. I can slowly manage my food and water intake.
RELEVENT: To improve my life style by making conscious decisions to change to a healthier me.
TIME ORIENTED: End of BLC43.

Getting organized for the week.

Personal transformation can and does have global effects. As we go, so goes the world, for the world is us. The revolution that will save the world is ultimately a personal one.

Eric, my son-in-law is still doing our grocery shopping. Yesterday he brought me 2 - 5 lb. bags of flour. YEAH. Now I can bake some bread. Love my bread for toast.

And will finish a sweater I am knitting for myself for next winter - almost done - just need to finish the second sleeve.
