I'm new to this challenge. I have a dropped left foot. That's also the foot that is half the size of my right and I have no toes on it. What I can do is peddle on my peddler which I upped to 20 minutes per day yesterday. emoticon

The weather here has been beautiful. The sun has been shining & weather is warmer. Today in the 80's . It is certainly a day for me to be able to enjoy my trike.

Ms. Country Carol
We live in south Texas. About 10 min walk from the gulf of Mexico. We did have a longer winter(50-60s). But season change is when the wind changes direction in the palm trees.

David,
Where do you live that it is so hot already? Where I live it has been chillier than normal (in the 60's ). But this weekend the weather is supposed to be more like Summer weather (in the 70's & 80's). I sure am looking forward to it.
So sorry to hear of your wife's friend that had passed away due to the heart condition. It is a good thing you are going to see the Dr. about your heart.

Today I am heading to the grocery store. I usually order online, but there isn't enough to do that. I feel like I am entering a war zone when I venture into the store with all the precautions we need to take now with the Covid19.

Wow, getting my exercise points in today.
88*, sunny, absolutely no clouds out.
I've been putting off weed eater, and cleaning up front leaves etc.
I'm having enough sense to stop and sit down every 20 mins or so as I overheat.
I'm also running out of my heart meds. Finally found and made an appointment with a Doctor to be my primary physician. I haven't seen a Dr except visits to ER, in the past 2.5 yrs. I'll be able to establish this, and get my meds filled. Only catch I have to wait till June 18th. I'm supposed to go in on the 13th to do new patient paperwork and labs. It may sound weird but actually looking forward so I can discuss issues and then get referral to cardiologist to check my pacemaker. Also hasn't been checked in 2 5 yrs. The batteries are supposed to be replaced ever 4-5 years depending how hard it's been used. I've been a bit worried about that too. My wife had a close customer where she works. Husband came in and said the day she was scheduled to go have batteries replaced, she died of a heart attack in her car in way to hospital for the surgery. Yes, I want to see the DR .
Well, I've been sitting here in front yard at the lawn table and chair under one of our hugh trees. I better get up and back to work before I really get tooooo comfortable.
Enjoy your day.
David

POETLKNG2LOSE, my Dr. prescribed a lotion for me. I didn't expect it to be effective because in the past what I've used hasn't been much good. I noticed a considerable difference yesterday.

POETLKNG2LOSE, It is hard to keep active when the arthritis acts up. Mine has been giving me trouble since the weather has been changing. My Dr. suggested a cream I can take. I do hope it gives me some relief as well. Mine is in my neck and back.

I too went from wheelchair, to walker to cane. I ended up paralyzed after surgery many years ago. I am now walking with an AFO (leg brace). I am grateful for my recovery as well. I have a trike that I am able to ride and it is a lot less painful than walking with the walker on my back.

I have a walker to walk outdoors for any distance so I don't fall. I had strokes and with a lot of therapy, went from wheelchair to walker to cane and then on my own in the house. So grateful to be where I am now and won't quit.

I want to lose weight for my knee too. I hope to have less pain with less weight....

Leg not hurting this morning so taking a little walk to the weed store for hubby. I don't smoke weed anymore because I don't like the munchies, not a plus when you are trying to lose weight.

I did bed rest for two days and the pain above my knee stopped now it is in the back below my knee and the doc says that is the shin. I am to not do my walks and stay off my feet as much as I can.

Well I sm in a fix now my knee blew out yesterday while out on a walk. I spent some hours in a ER being treated by having some Tylenol getting an a immobilizer and some crunches. I see my doctor Thursday and she needs to order an MRI. The ER doctor says it looks like torn ligaments.

Did not sleep good as it was to warm. Hubby had me turn off the AC because he was to cold. Will not let him make this decision again. Next time I will just put a heavy blanket on him.
Knee was hurting so bad when I went to bed.
In a rush this morning could not do today's challenge task, will do it tonight.

I just joined the challenge looking for ways to be active and exercise with a knee injury.

I thought it would be good to have a place to chat and give each other support
