I also stopped losing weight with 10 lbs to go. And now I'm pregnant again ;) Since I'm a little overweight now, I am not supposed to gain as much weight as with my first pregnancy, so I'm hoping that will help. I didn't stop breastfeeding before I got pregnant, but I can tell you that as my son got older and nursed less, I stopped having the ravenous cravings that I had for...maybe the first year of BF. I would suggest that if you taper off over time, rather than stop BF cold turkey, you won't have this issue, but I think that if stopping quickly, you may be right...

I'm currently breastfeeding and I am hungry all the time. I have stopped weight loss with over 10 pounds to go before pre-pregnancy weight. My concern is when I stop breastfeeding, will I still be as hungry and then most likely gain weight before having to work to lose it again. Thanks for your experiences. emoticon
